Title: Possibly moving to Maine
Post by: Mike_Roswell on December 28, 2011, 05:12:29 pm
I am possibly moving back home to Maine.  Milbridge, ME to be exact.  This is a small town where my family lives.  I've lived in Atlanta, GA for several years now.  I get treatment at the Grady IDP clinic here.  Currently I'm on the Ryan White program and my meds are paid by ADAP.
What my question is:  How do I find out about good HIV care in Maine?  How do I get the same benefits I'm on now?  If anyone can give me resources and information to help me with this possible transition it would be greatly appreciated.  I'm fairly newly diagnosed this past July.  I'm feeling my way around what's available to me.
I've been self employed for years and haven't been able to afford health insurance.
I'm hoping a move home will help me get my feet on the ground.  These are tough times for finding jobs with good health care benefits.
Thanks to anyone who can assist me!

There's a directory of service providers on the site (look for directory under the treatment tab)

Searching by zip code it looks like there are a couple of ASO's within 50 miles of Milbridge where there would be people who might be able to give you some good answers to your questions:

Good luck -- and welcome to the forums
