New labs more of the same.

Hello Forum Folks,
As you can see in my sig I have gotten back my latest labs and my numbers are pretty much the same again. Thankfully I am still UD and stable without any problems but I would, like most people, love to have more CD4s. I knew when I started meds that my age would be a big factor in this.
My IDS was not open to changing or adding any other meds now because I have no side effects from the I&T and I am still able to work 40-50 hours a week which I think is pretty remarkable for a LTS. I often wonder if I should have started meds sooner (now recommended) but I needed to work because of my retirement pension and I was afraid that the side effects of the older cocktails would prohibit that. I have about 8 months until I can retire if I want (YEA).
I was wondering if anyone here has added a 4th med and had any luck getting their CD4s to rise a little more?

A 4th HIV med is added when someone has had previous long term viral loads being detectable due to resistance issues, usually in more than one class. It's not done to make your cd4 count increased.

Hey Billy - we pretty much mirror each other. I totally get you ; my labs come back in ten days and I'd love to see 400 again, but from all I've been told here, there is not much that can be done to move them. Hang in there buddy.

Thanks Cojo,
The up & down numbers are normal according to my reassuring IDS. He said that he has many older patients who bounce around and all of a sudden they start a steady rise in CD4s after several years of treatment. I can only hope this will happen to me.
I am happy to be UD and now my ID visits have been stretched to six months because my IDS considers me stable and he knows that I am obsessed with taking my meds on time. I have only missed taking them once and it was my PM Isentress.
