please help me i'm crying every single day
« on: August 01, 2012, 03:00:17 pm »
here is my story

i went to get a blood draw for hiv in an old small lap
and i got the results after 1 hour negative
that blood draw i got it  because of kissing and hugging strange women

the needle was 2 pieces i think

1- the tube which it was packaged
2-the needle which im not sure if it was packaged or not
that is killing me thinking about that every single day

when he start to draw blood from my hand

i think i see some blood
inside that needle which i dont khnow if that blood mine or it was in the needle
 from onother person

if that blood was hiv positive blood and get in my vein can i get hiv that way?

and i remember that 1 or 2 weeks later my
1-Sore throat
and fever
and ulcers in my lips
(cracking lips)
and my palm of the hand got red and cracking
sorry for my  english because its not my first language

any risk from that kind of needle it was Two pieces

someone from the medhelp forum told me
------------------------
when drawing blood...there is nothing injected (going into your vein).  the needle goes in and if a vacutaniner was used, it automatically pulls the blood from the vein.  if a syringe was used, the person drawing the blood pulls the blood into the syringe.  everything is coming out...NOT going in.  if there was blood ON the needle...it would have been rendered inactive and unable to infect when exposed to air.

you had NO risk from the situation that you are describing
-----------------------------
but the person who draw my bloos was doing negative and positive pressure to
make the blood get out of my vein

please im soo worry

yaf,

Well, quit worrying. Nobody has ever been infected through any of the ways you are worrying about.

Hugging is not a risk for hiv infection.

Kissing is not a risk for hiv infection.

Getting tested for hiv is not a risk for hiv infection.

You have not had a risk for hiv infection.

Give it up and get on with your life.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

yaf,

If you feel unwell, see a doctor. Whatever is going on has NOTHING to do with hiv. You have NOT had a risk for hiv infection. No way, no how. No risk.
