OCD strikes!
« on: February 26, 2014, 04:27:19 pm »
Ok, first of all, I'm not being dispespectful to those that suffer from OCD. I was myself to a mental health specialist and he told me that most probably I have OCD... the only problem is that he was not a proper psychologist and cannot prescribe anything (he only can interview me, write a report an pass it to a Dr.) and since the health system in my country is soooooo slow, I don't know then I will be under treatment.

Anyway, the story is this:

- around december I had an encounter with a trasngender (MTF) CSW. I lick her glans for like two seconds. Her penis was not erected and there was no fluid at all. After that she blew me to the end. Then, he attempted to penetrate me (with condom) but the erection was not achieve, so she could not get inside of me, and the same for me (I was too exhausted after BJ). Anyway, during the frustrating penetrations the condom never went off the tip of any of both penises.

- in the meantime, i received a BJ from a girl and I fingered her.

- a month after I had an encounter with a different TG CSW. I blew her for like a minute without condom. Her dick was huge and it almost touched the back of my troath, but it was totally dry (she told me that because of the hormones). After that we proceed with mutual protected penetration, but she only penetrated me for like 10 seconds because it was painful.

- three weeks after I slept with a female CSW. I performed cunnilingus on her for like... I don't know, 20 seconds. Anyway, there was no blood involved and my tongue is really short.

I would like to say in advance that all of the unprotected behaviours I engaged into, I did it because I had read that they have no HIV risk. In september last year I had a complete STD testing and everything came up negative.

It's been a month since the last encounter.

In the meantime:

- I have felt troath pain like a couple of sporadic days.
- I have had diahorrea again a couple of sporadic days. Sometimes my stomach feels... I don't know, funny.
- I've had some episodes of night sweating. But hey, it's Wintertime, my house is warm and I sleep with a ton of blankets.
- I've developed some painless rush on the back of my tongue. Also the sallivary gland under my tongue has been swollen for two weeks, also painlessly. Oh, and my tongue is a little bit white, but not whiter that it has been a million times before in my life.

To be honest, except for the last one (that I find very puzzling), the rest of them are so mild that in other circumstances wouldn't have got my attention at all.

Also, I've been starting a new job and I feel a lot of preassure. For instance, the first two weeks I was not thinking about HIV at all, but I got a lot of anxiety from the idea of getting fired (OCD strikes again!).

Anyway, one of the symptoms of OCD is looking for excessive reassurance. I have been reading this phorum and Medhelp so much that sometimes I think that Dr. HHH could hire me to cover for him during his holidays. ;D

But somehow, here I am again. I have some questions:

- Would it be ok (except for my piece of mind) that I decided not to test, providing that I didn't have any risky behaviour not described here? I am not asking about if I had a low risk, I'm asking about if the risk was so low that I really don't need the test.

- Is it possible that my anxiety problems and my fear of contracting HIV are the cause of the symptoms? Or can it be, at least, the reason that I'm paying attention to small pains that I would ignore otherwise, making them bigger than they are in my mind?

Thanks in advance! :)

You did not have low risk ... it was NO risk . HIV is transmitted sexually from unprotected anal and vaginal sex . You had protected sex and need not worry .

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Although you did not have a risk and do not need to test for this specific incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Thanks a lot!

So, if I didn't get you wrong, since I tested in September, and since I plan to abstain from sex for a while (it does not worth the anxiety!), is it ok if don't test now and I wait until next September?

(Edit, thanks in advance, I will keep my third free post just in case)
