Swiss,

You're not going to become infected this way. People who share needles to inject drugs inject any left-over blood in the syringe DIRECTLY into their blood vessels IMMEDIATELY after the syringe has been used by the other person.

What you're dealing with is a slight prick and there is no need for concern.

Swiss,

If blood was coming out, how could it be going in? You're worrying unnecessarily.

Why does he give you incorrect information. Ask him you paid for the answer.

Swiss,

Unless she used that syringe IMMEDIATELY before you got stuck, I'm still saying it wasn't a risk.

If you get the PCR test done, make sure it's an RNA PCR, not a DNA PCR. The DNA test returns a lot of false positive results. Only the RNA test is approved for diagnostic purposes.

I fully expect you to come out of this ok and hiv negative.

I don't know anything about insurance in Switzerland. You should cross that bridge if and when you come to it. I doubt you will.

Hello all

ok i have phone with the laboratory they tell me i can do the RNA PCR , i will do it in 3 Weeks, its really expensive ::)

They said normaly its for People with HIV to control how much Virus is in the blood, if im Positive it must come out Positive because in the first 2-4 Weeks the Virus Quantity is the highest so they have told me.

many greetings

Given what you have reported we still expect you to test negative.

As for the waiting period, you can do it the hard way and drive yourself crazy or you can do it the better way and make a real effort to focus your attention on other things in your life. And don't bother saying oh no, I am too upset to think about other things. Because I can tell you that kind of drama is not going to fly here.

Ultimately we expect you to come out of this ok.

A no risk situation is a surefire negative. YOu cannot get HIV in the manner you described. Please learn how HIV is transmitted.

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

You were never at risk to begin with. A negative result has never been in doubt except in your mind.

You need to know that you can't keep coming back here indefinitely with more doubts and fears over a no risk incident. If you continue to do that you're going to find yourself getting a Time Out for 28 days. Consider yourself warned.

HIV is not your problem.
