What are you planning to do today?
« on: April 21, 2007, 06:42:55 am »
 8)

What are your plans for today. Today Ed and I are going to get on the bikes, and take a a couple hour bike ride on the Pinellas Trail. It's been a while, and we're both overdue. I really need to get some exercise ( actually we both do), and the weather will be great for it. Maybe I will put on two pairs of underwear to help cushion the butt !!

http://www.pinellascounty.org/trailgd/

Ed's mother lives next to the trail. ( our bikes are in her garage) So... We will get on the trail in Dunedin, and ride south through Clearwater and into Largo. At that point we will turn around and head back north.
After that, we will drive back home, shower up ,and then head out to our favorite Chinese buffet, where I will most likely over indulge, and then have some minor cramping.  :P

We will most likely be back home around 2:00 this afternoon. We're both going to catch a good long nap this afternoon.

Tonight, is the 31st anniversary of the gay bar that we have been going to for the last 27 years. We met a few friends last week, who said they were going to be there tonight. So we are going to head downtown around 9:00 tonight , and catch up with some people, and just have a good relaxing time.

We don't really get out that much at nighttime anymore, so we are looking forward to it tonight.

I am sure we will run into plenty of familiar faces. These anniversary's, usually bring a lot people together, ( at least once a year) that we don't normally get to see that often. So, we are looking forward to a good time. I may even have a drink or two !!

Hope everyone will have a great day !! What are your plans today ?

Well here in the UK it's already midday and I've only been out of bed for half an hour - I do like my Saturday morning sleeping in!

I'll be heading to the pub soon to meet the guys I go to the football with. We'll watch the Spurs vs Arsenal game at the pub and then walk the mile or so to Loftus Road to see our team, Queens Park Rangers take on Cardiff at 3pm.

After the football I'll be heading to my local spiritualist church for a special evening of spirit communication. I am due to give my first demonstration as a medium on Monday so it's some last minute preparation!

It's a sunny day here in London so I can't wait to get out and enjoy it.

I hope you enjoy whatever you are doing today  :)

We had three trees (60 footers) cut down yesterday so today I will be cutting the longer branches down and hauling them out of the llama pastures. I dislike the idea of cutting trees down but they were dying/partially rotted and posing a threat to livestock and barns.
The weather is co-operative and it's going to be a beautiful day in Ohio.

Hey that sounds like it'll be a laughter-filled trip down memory lane for you guys. I'm supposed to go to an outdoor food festival. Lately at dinnertime I've been stuffing myself and getting to that "point" where you "just know" you overate. You know that feeling? It's not a nice one. Well, I better be careful today. Keep that in mind at the buffet honey  ;D

Well since it's raining here (again!   >:() that means I can't get outside and do any of the much needed, long ignored, disgustingly obvious, yard work.   ;D

Instead, we have 2 appointments to go look at houses.  We've decided this house just isn't a good fit for us anymore with the yard work and constant maintenance (house is over 50 years old), so we're beginning the process of searching out something smaller, less work, and less expensive.

I'm hosting my dad's eightieth birthday party this weekend. My sister flew in from Cali and I expect a house full of friends and family. My father and I are living proof that it is never too late...I love and respect him very much.

I'm eating breakfast now, surfing the internet, then I'm going to workout.  A friend is coming over in the early afternoon and we're going to the Earth Day Festival downtown; another friend's band is playing. After that we're coming back here to grill some grub, and make an early evening of it.

u eat breakfast before you work out? doesn't food in your stomach interfere with your work out? especially when doing cardio?

haaa pinellas country :D I go to clearwater every thanksgiving to stay with my best friend, the trail is very nice :)

Here in san diego it's ugly and gray, so maybe get some fresh air at the dog beach watch the funny dogs and the cute owners, do laundry, surf the net, read, get lunch, go to the gym around 3 and then i don't know.

egello I always have a small thing to eat before hitting the gym. You don't want to go with a full stomach but you don't want to go empty either. If I go in the morning I will have a bowl of cereals with sugar and a cup of coffee before, THEN have a real breakfast (eggs/cereals) after the workout.

Got the jeep back from the doctor yesterday and got a clean bill of health.   Working on the engine a bit today and touching up all the rock chips from the wonderful stuff they put on our roads to keep people from slidiing off the roads.    Preparing for our jeep exidition in 10 days or so.  We have finished the new dishwasher, stove install and are preparing the house for new floors in the kitchen and entry way Tuesday..  It would seem this site has given me more inspiration to be a fixeruper again...

Have fun everybody..

wake up late.

realize that I missed the aidswalk

go back to sleep

wake up again.  puppy's ass is in my face.

roll over.  go back to sleep.

wake up.  Have a beer

Breakfast of champions.

have a few more drinks.

Nap

Wake up.  Think about cleaning.

Instead go online.

Read this thread and post.

Think about dead cow in my spaghetti that I'll make later.  YUM

Plan to finish the drinks and clean and cook and walk the dog and paint and excercise.

Realize that I will only drink and cook.

Be content with that for now.

Well as for Sunday, driving some 2 hours from des moines to mason city to deliver a computer to my other half’s niece. They drive down from Minn and us up from des moines, to half way mason city.
We also go to Denny's for lunch. I always liked Denny's, but for some unknown reason they closed every one her in town some 8 years ago. I never did find out why there is no Denny's in the capitol city of iowa. Strange... So mason city is the closest one.

And we are suppose to have sever storms today too. I love driving in the snow and rain. Makes it a little more interesting.
So what else does one expect to do for excitement, stuck in iOwa??? So don’t laugh.

Loading the dogs into the car and driving out to the mountains east of the city this morning. Probably stop off for breakfast somewhere. We are going to look at a house out there. A nice fixer-upper that we can afford. If we don't sell the place we're in and get out of the city, I suspect that I will be in a very bad mood until we do. We may do a little four wheeling while we're out there as well. Also there's a home and garden show today, as well as working in the yard and doing some painting too. A busy day indeedy-do...

It's Sunday afternoon and I'm going to play with my two puppies in the back yard while I'm planting spring flowers.
Maybe watch another wrestling match between two giant squirrels that I witnessed two days ago
and grill steaks on the BARBIE

I'm gonna get out of my goddamn pajamas, put on some clothes, get my shit out the door and figure it out from there.

I should go and check out CRAPUSA for anything I have been really wanting for a while, that I still can't afford, but would welcome the windowshopping anyway.

I just finished my first week of work, and one of the days was a little out of control, but the rest of it turned out quite well.  In fact, I'm in conclusion of my first week actually feeling that I like my new job.  This, of course, is making commitments I've already made seem less attractive... I need to keep my eye on the prize, though.

So...  I'm gonna get my ass out the door (but I think I'm gonna watch the rest of "the Legend of EarthSea first").  Perhaps I'll get a new tv capture card for my computer so that it will function better as TIVO.

Well, I had planned to fly from Phoenix - Reno, Reno - Phoenix and then Phoenix - Dallas.  And, then once again prove that everything is bigger in Texas by ordering in on a long overnight.  HOWEVER, my plane had different plans since it decided to dump large amounts of hydralic fluid on the tarmac .... flight canceled and I flew home to SAN but still got paid for my entire trip which included the following flights tomorrow:  Dallas - Vegas, Vegas - Orange County, Orange County - Vegas, and Vegas - Phoenix.
The difference between an overnight and a layover is luck!
