Anyone ever use this stuff...
« on: January 07, 2007, 01:43:18 am »

Yesterday the ER  doc prescribed me some tramadol 50 mg for the pain in my knee when needed.  It said on the label to take 1 or 2 as needed.  I took 2 and I must say....  It ain't doing much for the pain, but I feel awesome!

I still want to know if you are sleeping with pillow(s ) under your knees?  I wouldnt say it is going to cure anything but it may help.

Bear, shouldn't your comment go in the Favorite Positions thread? Just sayin'....

Actually, I have found the pillows to be helpful as well although difficult to keep the position throughout the night. I guess it's one of those things ya gotta get used to.

LMAO!!

Bear would you believe I did ice packs and it like made it go away long enough for a full nights sleep?  Man I could have saved $958 had I known!  I do take a throw blanket folded and put it between my knees though and you are right, it does make it more confortable..  Still considering taking your advise on the knee pads though.. Yesterday I was on my knees and had my lady sta...... never mind you get the idea.. I could feel the pain!

  Thanks though...

This tramadol is getting put away for now... it was a suprise  last night I must admit...  I didn't want to go to bed because of the way it felt.  I am such an addict!!

  Thomas

PS anyone have a white chip laying around?  J/K

Hey Thomas....I am so glad that you found some relief by using icepacks.  We keep them in the freezer for these emergencies.
Also, I was totally serious about the pillows.  I'm glad also that you have  tried sleeping with a pillow under your knee or under both knees.??? It helps.... honest.

Sleeping on your stomach... careful Thomas, there are horny gay boys reading this.  ;D

Seriously, though, these narcotic pain meds rule. When I fractured my hand last summer, I was given a month's supply of Vicodin (hydrocodone). The first few nights I was loopier and happier than... well, me after five martinis. It really made that whole wretched experience bearable. Hope your knee pain improves soon bud.
Her finely-touched spirit had still its fine issues, though they were not widely visible. Her full nature, like that river of which Cyrus broke the strength, spent itself in channels which had no great name on the earth. But the effect of her being on those around her was incalculably diffusive: for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.
