New numbers!!
« on: February 22, 2010, 07:59:30 pm »
I just got my January numbers today (4th week on Truvada/Isentress at that point). My CD4 count was up to 504 and my viral load was 49 - so I'm thrilled. I realize there will be fluctuations along the way, but I was encouraged.

I know many people would not have started meds as early as I did, but I made the decision I felt was right for me. I am a part of a clinical study studying which of three groups of meds seem to have the fewest side effects.

By the way, having read a recent post about negativity, I would just like to say thanks to everyone out there for sharing your opinions and wisdom. I have gained a lot from reading the posts here so far.

Very nice improvement in just a month :)   Congrats!

That's great news! ;D Undetectable and back up above 500 cd4s is excellent. If you stick to your meds, you shouldn't really see any fluctuations.  ;)

I know many people would not have started meds as early as I did, but I made the decision I felt was right for me.
12/28/2009 - CD4 310; VL 218,624 - began Truvada/Isentress
the recommendation currently is to start at 350 (or any time below 500) so it doesn't sound like you started early at all! It sounds, especially with those results, like you started at the perfect time. ;)

Awesome to hear.  My cd4 count has been the highest it's ever been yet (667) and my viral load hovers around the undetectable level.  It really is a great piece of mind. News that gives you a good piece of mind that I am feeling similar to.
