Truvada/Kaletra / Bactrim Side Effects
« on: August 03, 2010, 10:42:55 pm »
I just wanted to share that I was terrified of some of the side effects that some post on here. I feel very sorry for those that experience horrible side effects on the above regimine. For those of you considering Truvada/Kaletra, I have to tell you that today is day 12 and I have had absolutely NO side effects. I'm pretty lucky I guess but also wanted to share the following regarding Atripla.

At first, I wanted to start with the 1 a day pill and was disappointed when my dr stated Truvada/Kaletra would be the best for me. 5 pills vs. 1, I thought it would be horrible. Well....... I've had zero negative side effects, I can take it with or without food. I feel that I'm on the best of the 2 right now. You can't eat 2 hours prior to taking Atripla or 1 hour after..... With Truvada/Kaletra, you can take them with a big ol hamburger if you like. :)

I wanted to share my experience as I stated above, I was terified of negative side effects and am happy to say, I've had none. yipeeee... If you're considering this regimine, I hope this helps you.

I am taking exactly the same thing you do.
They work fine with me, once in a while I get the runs because I ate broccoli or cauliflower.

They say these medicines cause the less Lipodystrophy and are prescribed when you are very low in cds.

After Cd 200 my Dr tells me I wont longer need Bactrim.
Good Luck
