oral, swollen lymph nodes after
« on: January 06, 2015, 04:44:49 pm »
I have read on here in previous posts that it is virtually impossible to get HIV through oral, but my ocd self can't let it go because I'm sure there are ways if the right set of cosmic events happened. So anyway in the last month I have been with three men, 1st twould received only, both told me they have been tested and are clean but these were permiscous hook ups so who knows. The third guy we traded oral, probably about 3 minutes total, masturbated the rest of the time. Im not sure if he had precum, it was early in our meetup that I sucked him so I don't think so. Would I definitely know if he did, like strong taste?? Sometime around the first couple meet ups I got swollen lymph nodes in my neck on one side, and had phlem. This lasted a few weeks then started going away, then after the third guy a couple days later I had one swollen node in my neck that turned into both sides of my neck and started subiding in a couple days and are now almost gone (all are normal except ones behind jaw now), had pleghm run nose, cough. I visited the doctor and she said my she could see redness in my ears and though sinusitis. My question I guess is I see a lot of things about swollen lymph nodes in HIV infection, but not much detail. Does it usually occur in multiple locations of the body not just local area? come on and stay for a long period or come and go quick?  I'm scared to death I have HIV, never had such swollen glands until I experimented with guys.

Thanks in advance.

Oral sex is not a risk for HIV infection, so you can relax.  There have been no fewer than three separate serodiscordant couples studies (where one person is HIV positive, the other negative.) These couples were tracked for three. five and ten years. The couples used condoms for penetrative vaginal and anal sex, but NO BARRIER at all for oral sex. Any kind of oral sex.

These studies yielded NO infections.

Our lymph nodes can change size for many reasons, however, you have NOT had any risk, so HIV is not the issue.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to HIV testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start.  As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine HIV tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than HIV.  Some of the other STDs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid HIV infection. It really is that simple!

Thanks for the quick reply! It helps, one more question curious if the studies had guys who were uncircumcised in them, I'm not cut and have heard that's a higher risk? Also I got semen on my hand with the third guy, wiped my hand off then he masturbated me, but a few times I also stroked my penis, but as I'm uirumside I don't think my hand ever touched my head but not sure? Any risk there?

Sexual fluids are not infectious for HIV, Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in UNPROTECTED anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies. Once hiv finds itself outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect.

There are too many variable to give odds on any one risk but we do know that being uncircumcised does not make getting a no risk blow job into a risk .
