Please help me, HIV Neg 10 weeks, can I relax?
« on: October 09, 2006, 07:21:12 am »
Dear all,
I had an exposure to Hiv 10 weeks ago. I went to a massage parlour and received a handjob from the girl. The girl still wear her full clothes.
When I went home, I realize that I had 2 small cuts on my penis due to the handjob (about 5 mm for each cut). The problem is that I do not know
whether the girl had fresh cuts on her hand/palm. I am so scared now, I am afraid I can get Hiv from that girl if she had fresh cuts on her hand. I
do not think there is fresh blood on her hand. I did some test:
- PCR HIV DNA 12 days after exposure - Neg
- P24 Vidas 16 days after exposure - Neg
- 6 weeks Determine - Neg
- 10 weeks quick test - Neg
please please help and answer me, I am so scared now. Can I get Hiv from this exposure? Do I need any more test? Do I need to do another  PCR test
for conclusive, please, please help me.

P/S: I am from Vietnam, I am really sorry for my bad English.

I'm not in a position to give you an authorized answer to your inquiry, but just because I want you to feel relaxed, and because I'm sure of what I'm talking about, I want to inform you that HIV can never transmit that way; HIV is a fragile virus and can never be transmitted this way. Wait until a moderator replies, but trust me, you're negative.

another,

STAY in your own thread. Don't make me tell you again.

Ahoudie,

You never had a risk of hiv infection from a handjob, no matter what sort of spin you want to put on it.

You did not need testing, but your tests show that you are hiv negative. Period. End of story. You do not need further testing.

Dear Ann, anotherman, and others,

Thanks a lot for your replies. Your recommends help me a lot, alleviate my fear. Just because I scare that some pus liquid from fresh cuts (if any) on her hand will transmit HIV to my fresh cuts. This is really a way to transmit HIV. Am i right or wrong? I do not think there is fresh blood on her hand. Because I will get married next month. So I am so scared that i can transmit Hiv to my wife. Please, can I belive 100% on my negative result, I do not want to transmit it to my wife,...

Ann gave you the real deal.

We can't do anything about your guilt, but you were not at risk for HIV no matter what your head is telling you to the contrary. No kidding.
