« on: August 01, 2012, 10:33:52 am »

In Delhi, the power for the Metro went out and everyone had to be evacuated from the underground tunnels. Road Traffic was absolutely manic the day before yesterday. Things back to normal now.

This is certainly true. But then, India's blackout has (supposedly) offered lessons to China. hehehehe. http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/politics/nation/indias-blackout-offers-lessons-to-china-official-media/articleshow/15328367.cms

And obviously, China also sees in this a business opportunity. http://www.moneycontrol.com/smementor/mentorade/starting-up/in-indias-power-crisis-china-seesbusiness-opportunity-739293.html

Glad you are OK and posting spacebar!

I'm ok, thanks. Indians are used to power outages- the vagaries of living in a developing country. The colossal magnitude is unprecedented though.

I take it that means road traffic is just regular manic now? ;D

Glad you got through unscathed.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

Regular manic is normal.

Absolute manic is when the power outage hits on a major Indian festival when trafffic is heavy as it is due to people running around the city buying gifts. Gridlock.
