What do you guys think?
« on: December 13, 2012, 03:00:33 pm »
Well its been almost seven weeks since my possible exposure. My exposure goes like this, i met a girl at a bar/hotel so i assume she was a high risk girl. We ended up in the hotel room. We started off in the shower, where she masterbated me a little and i rubbed up on her vagina rather hard, i am 99.9 percent sure i didnt make any penetration, i was drunk but i think i would remember if i had made penetration. We left the shower and i used a condom for regular sex. This is where i got stupid. Right before ejaculation i pulled the condom off and she masterbated me to the finish. At the very end i rubbed my penis between her wet vagina lips, im sure i came in contact with her fluids. She masterbated me a little more and that was it. I went to the shower and washed up. What concernes me is in the shower and the very end. I know i had to have come in direct contact with her fluids on the end of my penis around my euritha.
After 2 1/2 weeks of stress i developed a dry throat, where i have to keep swallowing to keep dry. It wasnt really sore per say just extremely dry. I did have the lump feeling way low in my throat and that concerns me to. about a week after throat started i had a small ulcer on the side of my tongue and a small painless ulcer on the side of my mouth. I still feel like my throat gets dry and i have to constantly drink water to keep it wet. I have had this throat issue for a month now. Just over the last week my neck nodes feel like they may be swollen too. The other day i felt like pins and needles in my arms and legs, it would come and go. I think/hope that could be stress because i have been extremely stressed. I have not had any fever that i can recall or any rash.
What do you guys think my risk was and do you think i am nuking it? I plan on getting a test done as soon as i can. In a week. I am unable to do anything right now because of where i am for work. I am just really nervous that i have done it this time. I NEVER do things like this, this was the first time i have every done this!

Thank you all for the advice you share!!

Willy, basically I think you are worrying needlessly about HIV. All of the masturbation including with her fluids, rubbing and whatever else you mentioned are not risks for HIV transmission.

The only confirmed risks for HIV transmission sexually are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. That's it. As long as condoms are used properly for those activities you will be well protected.

What you do need to avoid in the future is mixing excessive drinking with casual sex. It's a dangerous combination that is well known to impede the ability to negotiate safer sex.

There is nothing HIV specific about any of your symptoms. If they persist you should discuss them with your doctor. I don't see any need for testing unless you need the inevitable negative result just for your peace of mind.

I don't see this as an HIV situation.

Thank you Andy,
I may do a test just to ease the mind, but you sure have eased it some with your professional advice! Thank you again for your time and reading my post!

You're welcome.

You can test of course for peace of mind but I really think you're ok as far as HIV goes.

Again, thank you in advance for your advice.

I have been reliving this night over and over. I am almost positive i did not make any unprotected penetration. I really think i would have remembered that. But with the symptoms i have, persistent dry irritated throat, now my tongue is a little sore, and the skins sensations i was feeling the other day i am starting to second guess myself. I want to just let this go but the symptoms are so irregular for me. I have never had an irritated throat for over a month. I didnt have flu-like symptoms or a fever or a rash. Do you think i am nuking this? I am approaching the 8 week mark, would it be normal for the symptoms to last this long and with the absence of fever and rash?

Thank you again for your time!

Symptoms of ARS vary widely, but they do not come and go, are general flu-like in nature - not respiratory, sore throat, or anything like that. ARS is the body's intital production of antibodies - just like your body does when you have the flu.

As you are more than likely aware, most of what you experience in the flu is NOT the virus itself, but rather your body's response to it. Fevers, chills, aches, rashes - are ALL part of the immune system.

What you describe sounds nothing like ARS.

Which is understandable, seeing as how you have had no risk.
