9 days and no word yet
« on: February 06, 2007, 01:54:28 am »
Still have not heard anything from the ex or a lawyer for 9 days. My luck, I'll probably get something tomorrow now. Figured I would have got some letter or served by now.

Still have a very very bad feeling she's going for the pot of gold home run though.
If I do decide to fight her all the way, how long do you think I can prolong this for?

I hope to make a reasonable offer, if she turns it down, fine.  I would sooner let the lawyers take it than her.

I'm full of cliches on this one, yowsaa. I could say no news is good news but it may very well be she is setting up a game plan. So my dear the best offense is a good defense. Put your game face on, baby. I don't know where I get this stuff from but it fits the situation. I hope things go your way and she settles for what you have to offer.

Yowsaa,

Don't know about your particular situation...but take heart - it will all be over. Do you have kids, how old?

I have been through it, and about to start it all over again since she is contesting the change in custodial arrangement.

If you don't have kids, then property might be an issue. But hey, come up with different kinds of alternative offers. Until you hear from their end, relax. Lawyers can be very busy, and the silence might reflect just tha.

I've been through it as well.  I got screwed but it was because *I* negotiated with her.  I wish my lawyer would have told me to shut up and let him handle it.

Get a good lawyer who knows what he's doing and let him OR HER handle it.  My ex actually wanted me to give her a big lump sump on the possibility she got HIV from me.  LOL!  I told her I tell you what Im not paying you now for it and if you get it you can sue me for everything I got because you didnt get it from ME!

Thanks folks.
Still no word, sometimes think now she'll play a waiting game. Saddled me with 32k in credit card debt. Maybe pressuring me to file, who the frig knows.

Been without/still out a phone all night. Had a million phone calls to make. Have a condo corp nit picking me with bullshit little repairs, had 2 other people ask me today for a favour , WTF ,can honestly say if I get through this month without a heart attack I'll be shocked. Just about at the end of my rope here, way too many stressors.

It seems like when you got something major going on there's always those lil things that come up to add even more stress. The weather took out your phone? I hope it is back up now. Just relax and talk to us, don't keep it bottled up.

Hiya Queenie !

My phone disruption was a complete nightmare. I have talk broadband with Primus, which is voice over IP, VOIP. They tinkered with the system on Tuesday and crashed everyone. The patch for a user to fix it was not too, too hard, if your tech savvy.  Where I'm a numbskull   :-[
After wasting 14 hours, I finally went to a payphone today and made the call to go back to a regular, good old fashioned land line. Than went to the cell phone store and said "I want to leave here in ten minutes with a working cell phone". Saleslady probably thought I was psycho LOL. Trying to save a few bucks ain't worth my sanity, even for Lil ole cheap me.

Who knows AC, maybe she'll play the poz status thing on me. Meanwhile, she's a total elite controller, with zero interest in joining a study.
DanKenny, we have no kids together, just two cats which she kidnapped. Damn, I miss my cat  >:(

Hiv+, single and str8. Doesn't sound too promising.

Yowsaa~~

Well, I'm glad you are keeping a sense of humor about it all even though I know at times you prolly want to strangle her. I'm glad you got the phone situation covered, can't live w/o a phone either. Sorry about her hijacking the kitties, maybe you should start over with another one. New start, new kitten. Might cheer you up...

Ex wives are like your pinky finger...  you can live without it, but you just don't want anything to happen to it.
