Galaxy Note ii
« on: November 03, 2012, 10:08:37 am »
I was just curious if anyone has the Galaxy note I.  I am thinking about getting the Note ii soon.  i've read thru it and went by and looked and played with it and im really liking the featrures.  Its a little big, but not that bad, but it has so many features i love it.

It's a little expensive, but T mobile gave me some options that will keep the cost down and won't affect my monthy bill

I have a Galaxy 2 smartphone -- obviously not the "Note" but similar. However, when I've pondered the iPad mini I've thought that if I got it then I might downgrade my phone to something really cheap/pay-as-you-go because of the redundancy. My point is that the Galaxy Note 2 resolves that issue, since it's like having an iPad mini with phone capability built in, so now that you mention it I may very well have a whirl with this at the Sprint store and at least consider it, as I am due an upgrade with reduced pricing.

Basically it comes down to if you think you can handle carrying around something slightly larger. For me it's perfectly fine -- I don't own a car and walk everywhere, so I'm one of those annoying queers that uses a man purse :) My point is that if you are someone who slips their phone into their pants pocket routinely you may not like this form size as a practical matter.

Have you previously/currently been using a Samsung android phone? They're good products.

haha.  i havent gone to a man purse yet, i still try to be butch with a backpack...lol

i do have the galaxy II I think and i love it never had any issues with it, still have the same battery after 2 years.  I've never had the Iphone and don't plan on getting it anytime soon, i'm happy with the samsung so far so no reason to change.

Tmobile said that the fone is normally about 650.00 if you buy it outright, but with my contact ending in a couple weeks i had two options.  i could pay 450.00 and keep the monthly plan i have which monthy is about 110.00/month.  She also advise that i can pay 250.00 down and they will add 20.00 to my bill for 20 months, but they can go to a lower plan instead of doing 600mins phone talk, going down to 500 mins.  i never come close to that number so it works for me, everything else is the same, unlimited internet/txt etc.  so it balances out.

i will more than likely have the new phone after the 15th.  can't wait.  i had phone playing with it in the store, the phone that is.

I considered buying the Galaxy Note but I thought the screen response lagged a bit. From what I have read this has been improved in the Note II. I don't think the Note is too large and really like the features.

I'm considering the Nokia Lumia 920 when it is released, but that is a completely different animal.

I'm considering a galaxy SIII or a Lumia for my next phone over the next year. I'm leaning more towards the SIII since I have an android Smartphone (SE Xperia Play) so it would be easier for me to have all my apps and data from one phone to other.

Damn, I love android  ;D

My brother just got it.  He really likes it.  However, he is questioning whether it is too big.  It is hard to get use to.  But, I thought my Galaxy 2 was huge when I upgraded from my EVO.  Now, I can't imagine anything smaller.  But, I don't think I would want one bigger.   I can still easily put my Galaxy 2 in my pocket.  And, I can navigate with one hand.  The Note makes that more difficult.

I have GalaxyIII, it's good, but the camera could be better (photos are a bit on a soft side)...I got the 64 GB sd card, so I'm using it instead of ipod (which I gave to my mother)...What I like about this phone: the screen, it's brilliant, contrast and resolution, you can read even the tiniest font (1pt)...But it's a fairly large phone, and I don't really recommend it for jogging, working out...Get an additional cheaper Android phone for that.
