on tuesday the 18 th i had an involvement with another man. there was no intercourse, but it did involve masterbation during which his pre cum got on my penis and anus. i had no pre cum, nor did we ejaculate. the masterbation was briefly intense. the whole incident lasted under 6 minutes at which time i quit. 4 hours later i had a low grade fever of 101.4 degrees which lasted about 4 hrs. at the 3 hr mark i took tylenol and the fever went away. 2 days later i found a small genital wart below the head of my penis and it was leaking clear fluid. on saturday the dr. confirmed it was a genital wart, but could not find any more. he also found a hemorroid inside my anus. He gave me cream for the wart and it has gone away. i have now found that the other man was possible hiv +. what are the chance that the hiv in the pre cum entered my wart and infected me. what are the chances that the hiv entered my hemorroid and infected me. 10 days later i have a white coated tongue and a cold sore on my lip. are these signs of hiv infection? I have had alot of high anxiety with this.

Hiv is not transmitted through mutual masturbation, even when you get pre-cum on each other.
Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse.
Along with reading the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) and following the link to the Transmission Lesson, here's what you need to know to avoid hiv infection.
You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL STIs together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with a sexually transmitted infection. Sex with a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.
Have a look through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.
Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.
If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.
Although you do not need to test over this specific incident, if you are having intercourse you should be testing regularly.
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

ok. i noticed from some that i have read that there are those out there who experience the same side effects as i did shortly after the act. low grade fever within a few hours. a fever blister a week later. weight loss around 7 lbs. i did not have swollen lymph nodes though as some have. sounds like some kind of infection. went to the dr. again on friday and he sent me to the lab for std tests. hep tests. fever blister is going away already thanks to anbesol. however a mild sore throat as sunk in. dr also had me take an hiv test and an hiv pcr qualitative test which he wants me to repeat around the 25th to 28th day. what makes pre cum less conductive is it because it dries too fast and is not very thick? my dr. thinks i am a low to moderate risk for infection. fridays hiv tests were on the 10 th day. i know u said no testing needed, but drs. oh yea. he mentioned stress. boy was he right. for 6 days i coudn't function. fear took over. fear can be your enemy. prozac and thorazin would have had the same effect as a pack of smarties on me. it was that bad.

If your doctor is testing you over the mutual masturbation incident, he's wasting time and money. A qualitative PCR test is also known as a DNA PCR test - and they are NOT meant to be used for diagnostic purposes. They have a high rate of FALSE positive results and you need to be aware of this in case yours comes back with a false positive.
The anitbody test will tell you your hiv status three months ago.
Your doctor needs to know that people aren't at risk just because they engage is sexual relations with a person of the same gender. People are at risk when they have unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse no matter who they are or who they have sex with. Unless you've been having unprotected intercourse or sharing drug injecting equipment with other people, you have NOT been at risk.
If the incident you've come here with is the most you've ever done sexually, I'm fully expecting your antibody test to return negative results. What happens with the DNA PCR doesn't really matter as it would have to be confirmed by an antibody test anyway.
You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection during your mutual masturbation incident.

OK JUST AS I WAS CALMING DOWN I READ THAT IF THERE WAS SOME EJACULATE IN THE PRE CUM THAT COULD CHANGE THE STORY. I ASKED HIM AND HE SAYS THERE MIGHT OF BEEN. HE WAS EXCITED AND FELT LIKE CUMMING. YOUR COMMENTS PLEASE. KNOWING THAT THERE WAS A SMALL LEAKING GENITAL WART ON MY PENIS.. COULD PRE CUM W/ SOME EJACULATE MASSAGED VIGOROUSLY INTO MY PENIS TRANSMITT THE HIV?

It doesn't matter what was in the pre-cum, you were not at risk for hiv during this incident. As I've said before, hiv is transmitted INSIDE the human body, not outside. Mutual masturbation takes place outside in the environment where hiv cannot survive in a transmissible form.
Unless you've been having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse or sharing drug injecting equipment, you have not been at risk for hiv infection.

ok. friday july 6th. test results come back negative for stds. hepatitis. hiv. and hiv pcr. they scheduled me for another pcr test on friday the 13th. that will be 25 days from exposure. You guys have been very helpful. thanks. will keep you informed.

Somebody is taking you and your wallet for a ride. You do NOT need further testing over this and you certainly do NOT need PCR testing.
You ARE hiv negative. You didn't have a risk so your test result is conclusive.
