Title: Should I get tested?
Post by: DBinder415 on August 20, 2013, 02:13:05 am
I'm a gay male who met a guy online for a massage and eventually an unprotected blowjob where I received it (he blew me).  I know there aren't any cases of anyone being diagnosed with HIV for anyone receiving a blowjob, but I have a slight worry about this encounter.

After receiving the blowjob and cumming on his chest, I noticed some blood on the head of my penis.  It was like a small blot on my head, but somewhat close to the hole of my penis.  He said he was HIV- so I'm a little less worried, but should I get tested anyway?  Based on the responses I've seen on this forum, blowjobs aren't usually a way people get HIV.

Thanks in advance!

You absolutely won't get HIV from getting blown. Saliva is NOT infectious = moreover, it contains over a dozen identified elements which render HIV inert and incapable of infecting. So even GIVING a blowjob is not a risk.

Yes, I read your post thoroughly. And even if you had a blood blister- or he did - it wasn't a risk.

You have correctly assessed our website correctly. No one here is going to state you have had any sort of risk.

My worry was more based on seeing blood on the head of my penis and if there was a slight chance that it got into my urethra.  I'm not as anxious as I was before so thank you so much for your very fast response!

Hi

As Jonathon has already stated you were not at risk for HIV, even with the presence for a small amount of blood there is still no risk.

Blood has to enter the blood stream in order to become infected, blood does not seep through the skin, and the chances of it seeping into your urethra is a definite no risk situation.

Please educate yourself on how HIV is and isn't transmitted, it's time to move on and put this behind you.
