Finished Art Work
« on: January 15, 2009, 10:52:10 pm »
Hey kiddies!
Well we're down to the wire. Only a few days left, then it's heading home time! On Tuesday I'll go in for the first of my monthly infusions, and after that I am free to go. I did call ahead and made sure that they had a TV in the infusion room. Don't want to miss the Inaguration for anything. While I have been recovering here in California, I brought along some colored pencils to try my hand at doing some art work using them. I had read an article discussing different techniques to use with them, and decided to give it a whirl. I've done some small sized colored pencil drawings before, but this is the largest and most ambitious thing I have done. I think it came off pretty well. It made for a less tedious recovery, that's for sure. Have a great day everyone, and thanks for looking.

Hi Carl

I'm glad you are finally getting to go home, I bet everyone (two and four legged ones) are anxious to have you home safe and sound.

As always I love your art work, it looks like it has been done with water color pencils..are they water color?, I have thought about using them but have never been brave enough to try, a lot of patience is needed by all accounts...the painting is fabulous, I would love to try something like that one of these days but in Acrylics.

Look forward to catching up with you.

Hugs

Jan,
No, they were just regular old colored pencils. I have watercolor pencils, but I've not used them yet. I will soon though, and you'lll be the first to see.
