Hey, Thanks for the inspiration.Im A 'sporty' person and I think my Hiv status sometimes holds me down from being better than I am. Wow, Olympics. I mean ...OLYMPICS!!!
The amount of training that goes into training for THE olympics is crazy, and to be Hiv +. Im inspired now.  Thanks Dude.!!

Green Tea,Multivit,Selenium ACE,Folic acid,Vit C,Aciclovir 200mg 5x per day for 3 days-(ONLY when I have Shingles!)
100 percent adherence-with the help of a wristwatch!

Sorry-I commented before I viewed the actual link.
I didnt know the person in mention was from the year 2000.
I thought: 2012 olympian Hiv + WOW!
anyway, Im still inspired. very inspired. I wont be the next Hiv + olympian but I think I will die trying...maybe get eaten by a shark. ;D

The article doesn't indicate whether he was HIV+ when he competed in 2000. Either way, telling the world you are HIV+ is a brave thing to do.

As I recall he was diagnosed 6 months prior to the 1988 Seoul Olympic games.  Years later after he disclosed about his HIV status (1995?) there was great consternation about him not disclosing at the time he hit his head in Seoul, and possibly exposing all his diving competitors to HIV.

I think Ford is referring to the Australian, Ji Wallace mentioned in the OP and not to Greg Louganis.
