Okay; I have heard that it takes approx 13 weeks for HIV to show up in your blood through an HIV test. So I ran into a situation that I am concerned about. HIV and AIDS is the scariest thing on earth for me and I pray everyday that I do not get infected. I have now chosen to remain abstinent for my lifetime but anyway.....I recently had sex with a guy who against my knowledge took his condom off and ejaculated inside of me. The guy assures me that he was just tested on September 3rd and his test came back negative. BUT lets say he had sex with someone a few days before he had sex with me and that person was HIV+ and gave it to him. Does that mean he is able to pass HIV onto me OR does it have to be the 13 week gap before HIV can be spread?
His test came back negative on September 3rd and our encounter was approx Sep 8 or 9th. Could he have passed HIV onto me. I am freaking out and really nervous. I am even starting to have dreams about "me being at a doctor's office and the test comes back saying I am positive. I am pretty sure it is only my nerves but my main concern is...Could he have infected me?

You can't go by what someone tells you about their hiv status. Unless you are in a securely monogamous relationship with them and have tested negative TOGETHER with them, you need to make sure condoms are being used.
The vast majority of people who have actually been infected will seroconvert and test posiitive by six weeks, with the average time to seroconversion being 22 days. A negative result at six weeks is a very good indication of your true hiv status, but MUST be confirmed at the three month point.
You do need to test. Try to stay productively busy while you wait for the appropriate time to test.

Thankyou for your response but my question is still not answered. I actually KNOW that the guy tested negative on September 3rd....but lets say he had sex with someone on the 6th who was HIV+ and gave the virus to him; then on the 9th he turned around and had sex with me and pulled the condom off against my knowledge and ejaculated in me......Being that it has not been 13 weeks but only 3 days...can he pass on the virus to me OR does the virus take a certain amount of time to actually attach to the blood and be transmitted?????

Ufortuantly as soon as someone gest Hiv they can spead it immidatly since it is a virus --like if you get the flu have no symptons you can still pass it on . i know its not what your looking for but i hope this helps ----best of luck

You say you know he's negative, but what are you basing that on? His word? Or did you see his test results? People have been known to lie about test results. While it's up to you how much you trust this man, the fact that he took the condom off and ejaculated inside of you without your permission says to me he may not be worthy of your trust. The prudent thing to do in your situation is to test.
There is a good possibility that one so recently infected (but not immediately, as skered claims) could be infectious and transmit the virus . This is one of the reasons why unless you are in a SECURELY monogamous relationship where you've tested together, what someone says about their test results is meaningless. You MUST be using condoms - or you are seriously risking your health.
You also must consider the fact that any test only means a person was reliably hiv negative three month prior to the test. How many guys did he remove the condom on in three months time?
The fact that you are the person who was ejaculated into means that you are right up there at the very top of the risk list. The receptive partner is ALWAYS at greater risk. Again, I recommend you test, regardless of what this guy says about his results. If this is scaring you, it should. Hiv is nothing to guess about or play around with.
I'll leave you with one last thought. This guy didn't seem to be too worried about YOUR hiv status. He also put himself at risk of hiv infection by going bareback as he could not know your status. And you want to trust his word? Don't speculate, don't assume, don't guess. Get tested.

Okay my last question is....if he was by chance infected and he ejacualted in me....does that mean I would AUTOMATICALLY become HIV+ or is there like a chance?...I know it is very high risk....but is it a definite thing?

It's not a chance I would want to gamble with. No, not everyone gets infected the first time, but again you can be.

No, it definitely doesn't mean "automatically that you would have become infected by a single exposure IF the guy is in fact HIV+.
But that can happen so from here on in you have to make sure whomever you are with someone in the future -- and yes, I know you said you're abstaining but people are human, things happen and plans change -- anytime you are having intercourse whoever is the insertive partner MUST be wearing a latex condom EVERYTIME. No exceptions. Once that principle is followed consistently then the issue of whether your partner is HIV+ or not becomes irrelevant.

I just read somewhere that if you go to the doctor very early...they could stop you from Secro???? I am not sure of what the word is but I think it means stop your body from getting the virus if you were exposed to it. Is this true???? And what if you didn't have the disease and they did this "Treatment" what would happen to you??

Has anyone on here used Revivo??? It is a drug on Natureproducts.net and I have read the testimonials which may be fake BUT they do seem to say the drug works for HIV. Has anyone taken it? Does it work?

The word you're searching for is seroconversion.
The treatment you are talking about is called Post Exposure Prophylaxis, or PEP for short. It consists of one or two drugs that are used in people who have hiv. This treatment must be started no later than 72 hours after the event, with initiation under 36 hours being best. The treatment last for 28 days and the drugs are usually taken twice a day.
The side effects are the same whether or not a person actually has the virus inside of them - and most people experience severe side effects such as fatigue, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea and various other problems. It is not a treatment to be entered into lightly.
I do hope you've decided to test.

If you read the Posting Guidelines in the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) found at the top of this page, you will see that you should not be posting in forums designed for those of us who already know we are hiv positive. Thank you for your cooperation.
There's not a lot of point discussing any treatments with you - you don't yet know your hiv status and it would be like putting the cart before the horse.
