Hi everyone...

It has come to our attention that some Forums members have received requests for cash, from another Forums member, for business-related purposes.

This is absolutely forbidden and I'd like to ask that anyone who has received these types of PMs please forward them to us. Please forward them to me via PM or via e-mail (editors@aidsmeds.com). Of course, whatever information is forwarded to us will be kept confidential.

I have not gotten hit up for money but has heard about it. I usually have to rob Peter to pay Paul these days and if someone was trying to hit me for money would definitely not like the response they would get from me. Hmm, maybe that's why I haven't been asked.

I can't help but laugh at the notion of someone trying to get money out of me for anything! (Because if I didn't laugh about it, I'd cry.)

There are several people on here I'd love to be able to just hand some money to- just cuz. Maybe if I magically win the lottery or something. Hey! AM Gathering...on me! *sigh* Dream a little dream...

Ya know...regardless of whether it's the truth or not, I find it in EXTREMELY poor taste to call someone out like that.

Tim Horn simply asked for people to report it if they had received such a PM. It is highly inappropriate to nail someone to the cross, especially when it's not "on good authority"

If you received one of the PM, report it. If you didn't, keep the mouth SHUT.

And for those that want to jump up my butt for jumping on the "Support Eldon Bandwagon", you couldn't be farther from the truth. I have no feelings for him one way or the other. There are a few posts here, however, that are simply inappropriate and uncalled for.

It is the truth. I find it in even poorer taste to attempt to scam people here. I see nothing wrong with exposing someone so clearly violating the TOS in this manner.

Eldon was warned in the old forums when he started that organization I mentioned in Moffie's November thread.. Also keep this in mind folks because I was here for his first ever post, he said something soon after about being Greek, but then in the new forums mysteriously changed into African American. Can't bullshit a bullshitter... Why do you think Moffie and I asked him for an introductory post back in November?

Eldon should have opted for the Eboli forums... from what I hear they have short memories there!

Maybe I am wrong, but I can't imagine a more overall financially barren bunch to farm from. I mean, some of us clearly still have some high-falootin' employment, but a big bunch of us also are working little to none. On disability and such. Not a very great target audience.

Its inexcusable to solicit in the way that has been reported.
The moderators should just say whats going on and then there wouldn't be this back and forth ...of... he said she said no I wont yes you will

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter who was soliciting funds from whom. The fact is, outside of fundraising for the AMG, solicitation of funds is prohibited on these forums, whether in the public forums or via PMs.

The person the original post was about had been warned not once, but twice, publicly, about soliciting funds in these forums. He is no longer a member of these forums and the subject is therefore closed and I shall lock this thread.

If anyone receives solicitations for funds from any member of these forums, for any reason, please report it to the moderators. Thank you.
