Love juice issues
« on: May 06, 2007, 01:43:03 pm »
I don't know the proper medical term for it, but what I mean is the transparent sticky stuff announcing the male  ejaculation. I was a rather slippery guy when I was young, then did not produce much of it in the years before my diagnosis, when my libido was low anyway. Since I went on HAART (the meds are working fine), the production has steadily increased. Now, my physical and my psychological state have considerably improved. The initial shock phase after the diagnosis has passed and I have grown back to the more out-going guy I used to be. My libido has significantly improved since, so I have started online-dating and am quite happy with it, although I have noticed a certain addiction.

However, what is worrying me most, is the love juice. It's dripping now on the slightest arousal in large quantities and causes large wet spots not only in the underwear but on the jeans, visible to everybody. For instance, I almost have to change my trousers when I even think of clicking on the Spin Cycle bookmark. Even small chats involving sexual matters cause a puddle without touching myself. During sex, the precursing juice is almost as much as the real load. As nice as it sometimes is, this condition is getting a bit scary because, as far as I remember, it has never been this way.

So, here are my questions to the experienced guys: Is this normal and perhaps related to the physical and seasonal spring I'm experiencing, or could it be related to a prostate problem I'm unaware of? Is there anything I can do to control the flow? Or do I just have to accustom myself to the fact that HAART turns me into dripping sex maniac? I'd be happy to hear your opinions before I address this issue to my (female) HIV doc, it's kinda embarrassing for me. Thank you!

Lately I have experienced the same thing.
While I was in acceptance phase I lost all my libido
After acceptance (4 months now) things go untra back to normal (for me at least)
I find myself getting wet just about anywhere....
I recon it's a good sign ^_^

it's nothing to worry about kid, it's called pre-cum and the amount produced before cumming is different in every guy. like me i leak like a faucet and boyfriend is dry all the way till the mother load. so like i say nothing to worry about, maybe start wearing thick boxers so no one might notice any wet spots.

Why do I smile when I read cerrid's post and watch his avatar at the same time?  :D

It's interesting I used to precum a lot, and now it's more dry. I don't know what triggers "overflow" at start? Anyone knows? Cerrid it happened as soon as you started meds?

Because you have a dirty mind, sweethard. :-*

Well, yes. It started about that time. I wasn't really doing well before and starting meds had a huge impact on my recovery. So it could be a physical thing or a mental thing or a combination of both why it's flowing free now, I haven't got a clue.

the what???

I'd love to tell you but I can't. I just cleaned myself.

What you've described sounds like pre-cum to me. The range of how much of it guys produce varies enormously, just as some women get wetter more quickly and substantially than others.

If it's worrying you I'd say just mention to your doctor when you have your next appointment.

As far as keeping your "output" private, you might wear more absorbent briefs.

Other than that I would say just enjoy your recharged libido.  Sounds good to me.

Messing around with it was actually the fun part of it... ah well, I'll keep an eye on it how it develops and if it persists, I'll ask my doc. Thanks for your inputs, guys!

Cerrid-

As you have no doubt read in The Spin Cycle (and thanks for the reference  ;D) I am a heavy leaker of pre-cum. All those references to it are not some erotic convention: it's the truth of my reality. When I am aroused, it flows like a faucet and always has near as I can remember. I even punned on it once in the old forums by saying that I "milk my Cowper's gland"  ;D

http://www.askthecouch.com/2_past_template.asp?article=32

While checking Google for spelling I came across the article above which explains more about pre-cum. It's not a dreaded bother. We're actually lucky to have such hard-working plumbing.

And in a practical aside: If you stain your pants, might I suggest a quick wipe in the men's room? It works if you can catch it before it gets too far.

Thanks for the link, Bucks! That was really useful although I think the term pre-cum sounds rather profane for such a multi-purpose liquid. I'll try to make my prostate happy, and when it's happy, I'll be happy too and stop worrying too much about it. Perhaps it's really just a spring time phenomenon due to overshooting hormones. If not, it saves the extra lube (kidding).

Please Cerrid,

Just enjoy it, soon enough you will look back and say, "Gee, why don't I have all the lubricant I used to have" and then it will only be a pleasant memory.

Ain't really nothing wrong, just like Brent has said, you are blessed.  I used to hate the fact that I had to wear underwear to keep the spots under control under my suits at work, so I bought some enjoyable underwear to soften my aversion to these useless pieces of couture.

Often, when I wanted to wear my suits without underwear, I would place a dry condom over my penis, and then place a small brass penis ring over the top and roll the collar over the ring.  Now I would be able to go to work without any leakage.  Something I actually did very often.  You see, when I was working, I also had my own company car, and I would often go to a city park for lunch, which I would also enjoy in my speedos.  Not a good time for wet spots, especially since mine were pink.

Please don't worry about this, and PLEASE don't talk to your doctor about it, because he/she will probably try to get you on some miracle drug that won't do anything for you except give you a headache and more diarrhea.

Love.
The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals,
and 362 to heterosexuals.
This doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals,
It's just that they need more supervision.

Hey Moffie,
thanks a lot for your kind and soothing words! You see, that's exactly why I asked this question in the first place, because I knew there would be guys like you who not only have the experience but also a handy solution. I won't worry no more, take precautions and will try to regard myself as gifted.  :)
