Dear members,

i am addressing you in my bad times in my life. I have found this site some time ago and I hope it will help me a bit somehow. What leads me to this site is my real concern and try to search any kind of help is my story I had and I am experiencing till today. I come from Czech Republic, where I am resident. I used to work in Brussels for some time, where I had a girlfriend. Everything was completely fine till one nice day in May condom broke.

Till than i felt bit strange, but I rationalized myself as a stress from work. In approximately one month I had almost all symptoms of HIV. E.g. apathy, flu-like illness, gray mouth, white hairy envelope on my tongue, pneumonias, complete soreness, swollen and painy lymph nodes all over the body, strange diarrheas, painy prostate, dysorexia, lost 3kgs and rash which lasted about two weeks.

We hassled about this topic with that girl until we broke. The most shocking for me was that she confessed that she had rather remain with hers etnic guys who are real men and not those European freaks - origins from Africa, Zimbabwe and she imigrated to Belgium. How nice! Till than I've been on all known test about everything related with sexually tranferable diseases even HIV which ended by "negative". Since this experience I still have swollen and painful lymph nodes in my neck till today. I have addressed most experts for HIV in Czech Republic with my story. They managed me all possible tests for HIV1/2 available in Czech Republic, e.g. elisa, western blot and imuno blot which they have. This ended by "negative" again and then they said they cannot test me more. PCR are not done if previous were negative.

In the begining of of November I am ordered to imunology, which has some bit of chance they will find whats wrong. But I am becoming in fear they will not and I have some new nice gift from Africa, which I cannot reveal. I am getting hopeless what is wrong with me.

I know, more than 3 months, period, end of story. But lymph nodes in my neck and my groin are bit swollen and painy all the time as some of posters wrote here and still no diagnose. And I am becoming totally hopeless. Does anybody have similar experience? Can anybody advice?

thank you, sincerely
Chris

Whether you believe it or not, you are HIV negative. Period. End of story.

As for your symptoms, that is something to discuss with your doctors. Your risk was minimal through that broken condom and in any case the negative results at a reliable testing point confirm your negative status. Just because you have swollen lymph nodes and whatever else does not invalidate you negative results.

HIV is not your problem.

OK if I am told to write only in my thread, may I ask people from EU for some tip of clinics/labs in EU were they can do HIV PCR tests or any other PCR STD panel? Just failing to find any diagnose in my country and seems that my try is getting hopeless with my "gift" I am carrying.

Thanks

Well OK, I am one from those having HIV symptoms but tested negative. So I am from those who have some HIV like virus transmitted by sex intercourse which is behaving same way.

Beside my order to imunology - which I am starting to believe they are looking only for known diseasses - is there any clinics or lab in EU which is able in 21st century detect yet unkown viruses or bacterias (like pig flu some year ago)? Does anybody have contact?

Thank you

You are HIV negative. Deal with it. You will not be permitted to post endlessly about this sort of stuff.

...And just because your doctor has not been able to diagnose what is going on does not by default mean it's HIV. Especially not after you have reliably tested negative.

This is NOT an HIV situation. No matter what your head is telling you to the contrary.

So after some while of trying to solve my issue and get the clue what is wrong with me, I found and I'd like to share for those who probably have same experience.

After 5 month of achy and swollen lymph nodes I am diagnosed with EBV (mononucleosis). That's my second test run since spring. First one month after was negative. After two western blots for HIV1 and HIV2 4 months after I am considered HIV free with EBV only. Doctors told me at immunology that sympthoms of these viruses are very similar to each other.

Well I would like to thank everybody here, because this site is very good source of knowledge and inspiration. Gived me very large scope about this disease in my bad times and I will handle that experience with care.

I wish all of you utmost health and Marry Christmas

best regards
Chris

Good to hear you've had clarification about what the real problem is and hopefully it will be properly treated and cured.

Cheers.
