This is without any doubt the most misspelled word in this forum, gay.com or just about anywhere else:

DEFINITE/DEFINITELY.  It is not: definate/definately. 

I have huge problems with spelling and typing.  French is a breeze compared to English.  Thank god for the spell checker.

you are definitely correct Ernie.....that one is one of my pet peeves.

I learned to spell it in elementary school by remembering DE  and FINITE

and I learned how to spell "separate" by remembering "there's a rat in separate"

And their/there/they're.

And two/to/too.

And effect/affect.

Hmm... we say it from time to time.  Older residents definitely say it a lot... but people 40 and under... not so much.  It's not institutionalized in any way... not like in Atlanta when they spelt out "How ya'll doin'?" with cheerleaders or something during the opening ceremony of the 1996 Olympics.  We'd be more likely to spell "Get the hell out."

it's Y'ALL, with the contraction replacing the "ou" in "you all"
