Hi all,
   It's been a few years since my divorce and I think my mind is finaly ready for another relationship. My body finds this very good news since it has been ready (realy.realy, ready) for a lover for some time :)
   
     So any advice for a hetro HIV'er looking for a soul mate would be apreciated. So far I have put a profile here and at positive singles

  lol you guys are funny. A little f.y.i. I wouldn't be hitting any gay man for hitting on me. I see myself as straight but I had plenty of sex with men during my 20's. For me it was more of a party drug scene than anything (no more drugs for this camper). Sometimes I do wish guys did it for me like girls do particularly after H.I.V. but alas this is my state :)

awesome how open you are with it. i haven't ruled out sex with women but i'm always cast as gay. i tend to be the dominant one in my relationship and have no mental qualms when it comes to dominating men or women.

i've done things with girls...just not as much as i'd like to do. and i am open to dating women if this man-dating thing continues to fail. i'd like to say im 95/5, lol. might as well be 100%. but i thank you for opening this up...

As hard as it is for gay guys to find partners (especially in the D&D UB2) world that is, I can attest, NOT limited to online hookups or bars, it must be doubly so for a heterosexual man.

First, people may assume you are on the down low. Also, the expectation of a man to support his wife/partner, be strong and alpha and all that junk, has to be compromised. I was lucky in that my Mom and Dad were always equal partners. They both worked, and when one had a setback, the other one helped pick it up. But a lot of people still adhere to the old fashioned standards. You know, the impossible ones.

And maybe that comes more to the forefront when the insecurity of a virus like HIV comes into play, whether the partner is positive or not. We cling onto the stuff we think to be true, even when it isn't.

It takes a special woman, regardless of her own HIV status, to truly love and commit to an HIV positive man. Our own Ann does it. Our own Jan does it. I can't imagine it's easy, but it's possible. Like when I watched my Mom and Dad behave like equals in the era of Mad Men and Super macho-ism.

I'm just trying to say that I get where youa re coming from, to the best extent that I can. And I hope you get the love you deserve on this perilous journey.

   Its awesome to have a safe place where I can be open with it. I certainly don't feel safe sharing stuff like that with Friends at work ect. Western society is so weird about homosexuality.One of the funniest things I think about is how over population is literally killing our plannet and how gay culture allows so many beings to find sexual fulfillment without making more babies.But yet many seem to want all the homosexuals to be straight. Imagine if by some freak of nature all the gays became straight and all the straights gay for a few decades wow what a relief our plannet would feel lol

I am sure the girl is somewhere out there just maybe not in 'ur catchment area. As opposed to waiting to be contacted, go flat out and do the contacting, there is about to be some responses even if it means online to start with. Some recent discussions revealed that people were looking for relationships but were giving up because it became frustrating.

Wrong film. Yente was the matchmaker in Fiddler on the Roof. The part was first played by Bea Arthur when the play premièred on Broadway in 1964.


Most here will be more familiar with Norman Jewison’s 1971 film adaptation of Fiddler on the Roof when Molly Picon played the part of Yente.
