Hey, exposure was received oral sex from csw in Mexico, high risk area of HIV, this was 6 months ago.

About 11 days ago went to Sonora quest and had my blood work done, for hIV 1/2/0. The results are still not in the docs office.

Does this mean they are confirming the results ?

Before, I usually got the results back the next day, what is taking them so long ?

thanks

Ronald, labs operate on their own schedules and not infrequently delay with results. Which is obviously unfortunate for someone anxiously awaiting a result.

In your case it doesn't matter. And the so-called "high-risk" area of Mexico is also irrelevant. Receiving oral is absolutely not a risk for HIV transmission. In the entire history of the epidemic there's never been a confirmed case of transmission via a guy getting a blowjob. It's safe to say you won't make history by becoming the first.

It actually wasn't necessary to test about this incident. The essential risks sexually for HIV transmission are unprotected vaginal and anal sex. All the rest are strictly theoretical.

Your negative test result when you finally get it is a slam dunk as long you haven't had any unprotected intercourse.

Cheers.

Andy, I don't seem to understand what's holding them back.

Reason this episode scares me is because

1. from this encounter I had prostatis bacterial infection. Maybe HIV can ride on the bacteria and start multiplying.

2. I have been getting fungus infection alot

3. I feel fatigue , headaches, weird sharp needles and pin type of feeling on the bottom of my foot, and not in the mood along with pain around the liver area & shortness of breath

Now, why am I having such many symptoms.

Inaddition, Allergies have became so bad that every two minutes I am sneezing, before I never did.

What do u think , still ?

Blood Work for CBC for last  6 months shows:

Low Nuetrophil counts ( wbc )

and High Lympocytes. This indicates HIV infeciton.

huh ?

See your doctor if you have concerns. You were not at risk of contracting HIV.

The ONLY test which tells you about your HIV status is an HIV test. All of the other "stuff" you are throwing into the mix is also totally irrelevant.

In your case getting tested is not necessary because whether you believe it or not you did not have a risk for HIV.

Whatever is going on with the lab's tardy response doesn't change those facts. This is NOT and HIV situation. Period.

how did I get a prostate infection ?

Does HIV have anything to do with ti.

Can it do a piggy back ride on bacteria ?

Prostrate infection has nothing what so ever to do with HIV. HIV is a virus.

Yes I do know that, but when your infected with prostate bacterial infection at the same time, can't HIV piggy back on it and make its way through.

I  don't understand that fact, how can it be different way of transmission if prostate bacteria can make it's way through than why not HIV virus particles ?

What part of, "You didn't have a risk" is it that you don't understand? You did not have a risk of contracting HIV from getting a blowjob.

Have you contacted the lab to find out why it's taking longer than you expected?

Whatever is going on with the lab and the various scares your mind continues to come up with doesn't change the HIV- science-based reality that you had absolutely no risk for HIV by getting a blowjob. Zero. Zilch. Period.

Fortunately scary thoughts and feelings are not facts. So when you finally get your test result, a negative result is certain based on what you have told us.

Period. End of story.

I've had labs take as long as six weeks to get back for one reason or another.  One time, the lab did the CD4 count but forgot to do the viral load and I had to draw more blood.  Shit happens, people go on vacation, paperwork lands on the wrong desk, holidays, etc.

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

Ron,

Get a grip. You got your dick sucked. Get over it. Not one person has ever been infected through getting a blowjob and you certainly aren't going to be the first.

Unless you've been having unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse you've not told us about, your result is going to be negative. Deal with it.

And cut the drama, as Rodney says.

Your telling me to take a chill pill guys, come on, you know how I feel.

My partner is compaling about burning in the toes, sensation, nuetrophay and same here, never had this before, have chronic sinus infection and much more, not just me, but my partner as well..

How can this be possible ? This has to be HIV with test taking for ever to come back...

See, I am scared not because of the risk etc...but symptoms I have...

Whats higher No Symptoms or Symptoms or Risk Factor ?? Symptoms just don;t appear out of sky.

Ron, this is all totally unwarranted hysteria. We have told you what we think about your NON-RISK.

Cut the drama and get on with your life while you're waiting for the inevitable negative test result. You also need to stay out of commenting in other people's threads. You are not authroized to do that, plus some of your comments have been incorrect.

Get busy with other things. If you continue coming back here with more of this drama you're going to get a Time Out. Consider yourself warned.

Andy,

Called the doc today and they say that they are still waiting on some of the blood work report and verification. What does this mean ?

i am scared that they are reporting me to the states about a HIV+.

This makes the testing 14 days.

Not to belabor a point, but you do not get HIV from receiving oral sex.

"Many people, especially in the gay community, turn to oral sex as a safer alternative in the age of AIDS. And with HIV rates rising, people need to remember that oral sex is safer sex. It's a reasonable alternative."

okay confused now... I checked my insurance web site and checked if Sonora Quest has processed the claim and they did..

They send the bill to blue cross 2 weeks ago, and they already got paid.

Why does my doctor still not have results....They keep telling me that we have the pre-liminary report and we will call you once there ready to come in.

WHAT ??? I am freaking out...They usually tell me the results right away....Is itbecause of HIV ?????

Ronald,

You were told a few days ago by Andy that if you continued to come back here with this unnecessary drama, you'd be given a time out - and I'm here to do just that.

Do not attempt to create a new account to get around your time out because if you do, you will be permanently banned.
