Computer Question....
« on: September 30, 2009, 06:18:58 pm »
My sister had bought a computer from someone who didn't delete the password. And she is getting an error message that says the password has expired. When this happened before we would F11 it and it would go to the desktop, no problem. Now that is not working. Is there a way around this or does she just have to buy a Windows disk?

And if you have Vista on a computer, can you downgrade it to XP?

You can downgrade from Vista to XP but they do not make it easy. Check on your CPU manufacturers website to see if they have an answer. If not just google the question and you will get a ton of advise on how to do it. If the computer is a fairly new one you might create more problems with the downgrade than is worth.
Technically I believe you have to buy a new copy of windows or use a copy that you already own.
If you take the computer to a repair place they should be able to change the password.
Best of luck with it.
