Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

45 days combo

Hi, I had a sexual relationship with a sex worker on april 20. the relation was protected vaginal. but I am afraid of deep kiss and oral sex that I made her.. today I got up with an undefined sore throat. my uvala and over it is red. What should I do . Should I test?when? please help..

What should you do? What do you normally do when you have a sore throat?

It's nothing to do with hiv. You did NOT have a risk. Kissing - deep or otherwise, is not a risk for hiv infection. Giving a woman oral sex is also not a risk for hiv infection. Getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection. Protected intercourse is not a risk for hiv infection.

You didn't have a risk.

I had a test on 45 th day after my intercorse.it was hiv+p24 ag . Is it enough or I have to test again at 90th day.

You don't need further testing because you did NOT have a risk for hiv infection as you were previously told.

You ARE hiv negative. Continue to use condoms for anal or vaginal intercoures, correctly and consistently, and you will continue to remain hiv negative. It really is that simple!

As I already told you (re-read your thread!) kissing is not a risk for hiv infection. Going down on a woman is not a risk for hiv infection.

What IS a risk for hiv infection is unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse. Use condoms and you'll be just fine where hiv is concerned.

Hİ everyone.
I had an intercourse 55 days ago. my intercourse was unprotected oral and vaginal(I dont count deep kissinG).After my intercourese there became papillusus, afts and farengitous. Today I live these syomptoms although 50 days has gone. at 45.th day of my intercourse I had an vompo test(hiv+p24) which came negative. I am werry worried because of inside of my mouth. I dont want to see my tongue. there are very aching afts. Can be ars symtomps.? Doest it lasts more than 40 day? what is my risk now. When shoul I test and which one ? please help me..

I've merged your threads. Please follow our rule and keep all of your entries in this same thread.

The average time to seroconversion is 22 days. All but the smallest number of those who are going to seroconvert will do so within 4-6 weeks after an exposure to the HIV virus. With your negative at over 6 weeks, that result is highly unlikely to change. You do need to re-test at 13 weeks for a definitively negative result.

You also need to learn from this experience. You can intercourse with whomever you would like to but you need to do it the safer way. That means always without exception using a condom for vaginal and anal intercourse.

Discuss your symptoms with your doctor. They are not in any way HIV specific.

When you first came here, you said you had protected vaginal intercourse. Now suddenly it's unprotected vaginal intercourse. Which is it? If you're changing your story to gain our sympathy or avoid a time out, I can tell you right now it is NOT going to work.

I think your original post was the accurate one - and you did NOT have a risk in anything you did or had done to you. NO RISK.
