Time to change
« on: January 15, 2012, 08:27:39 am »
Wanted to just say hello to ALL those who helped me over these long eight years.  Been healthy thru most of it and dealt with love and loss and bouncing out of this back into dating a bit again.   I have come down to my last set of Kaletra's and Ben has moved me over to Isentress/Truvada...  My new years new drug combo..   I dont expect complications and maybe one less trip to the lu, but all in all for me,  it worked very well...  Ben and I sat and just talked for what seemed to be hours.  Talking about when I first walked into his office, when we lost Will and then the promise to go skiing together this year..

Lots to be greatful for when I slow down and put it all back together...

I have learned more about life now then I ever did before..

All my very best hopes and wishes...

Eric

Hi Eric,

Sounds like your new year is off to a good start.  You've come through a lot.

I hope your new combo works well.  And I hope you do go skiing this year!

Cheers,

Henry

Henry if only it would snow.  :-\  This week is gay ski week.   And it always seems to dump like hell.   I have been in shorts on my days off running on the track that should be set for cross country skiing.   I hope it comes soon.  I am not much one for summer forest fires let alone how much this area feeds the Colorado river.

Looking forward to switching up my medications.  I was always told if it works dont fix it, but if you have side effects, now a days we probably can fix that for you.  So I am excited.  Maybe I will break 500 this next eight years...

I am going to do some volunteer work for ski week and meet a alot of people.   I also met someone pretty special down in Denver and we are just enjoying getting to know eachother.   I remember this being so much fun just getting to know someone on a level that has been missing in my life for a time now.    No stresses, just getting to know.   All my girlfriends up here found out I was dating again and keep introduing me to people.    Wonderful ladies in my life...

Henry, have a wonderful winter...  Personally, I want summer back...

Hugs,

Eric

Glad to hear things are going well.  Btw, is Ben Dr. Ben Young, who is an online Q&A doc at thebody?  When you said Ben, his name came right to mind.  When you mentioned Denver, then I thought he probably is the same Ben.

If so, I've always wished I had a doc here who is that knowledgeable and that active in HIV medicine and research.

Yes, same Ben....   There are so many carring docs out there and I was very fortunate to find Ben back then. To  find a doc who knows the virus down to the molecular level and be an advocate for us, the world both in HIV and AIDS and help new Hiv docs understand not just the physical but the mental hardships has always been a blessing for me..

Thank you for the well wishes.

Truly,

Eric
