Plz help me.

Hi everyone, is it possible to catch HIV after getting unprotected blowjob from someone with a syphilis sore in the mouth? I have symptoms for syphilis but tested negative for HIV at 4 weeks mark. Plz help, thanks.

No. No guy has EVER been confirmed to have been infected through getting a blowjob. It's safe to say you aren't going to make history by becoming the first.

Other STDs are much easier to contract which is why we always recommend that anyone sexually active ought to have a full STD panel done regularly -- at least once a year.

As long as a condom is always without exceptions used for vaginal or anal intercourse you're well protected as far as HIV is concerned sexually.

No need for HIV testing this time over this incident.

Cheers,
Andy Velez

Thanks Andy. I went for a Syphilis test today but it came back negative. Doctor told me to wait for another result which will be 2 weeks away. I will update you guys on the progress for the remaining Syphilis and HIV tests as well. Wish me luck.  :)

Had a HIV test today at the 6th week mark, came back negative. What a relief. Doctor told me to go again after 3 months for a conclusive test result. Still waiting for syphilis test result, no news till now = good news  guess.

But the problem now is that I have petechiae over my body, maybe around 30 - 40 of them. I read on the net that it may be due to viral infections. Should I go to the visit a skin doctor now or wait till after 3 months for the conclusive test? Please advise, thank you very much.  :)

jer,

Go see a doctor about your skin problem now. You do not have hiv as you were never at risk in the first place. Getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection, syphilis or no syphilis.
