Like Mother like daughter...

No tattoos, Thank goodness. But she wants permanent fangs, werewolf fangs. My daughter wants to be a mortician when she gets older, even though her hobbies point more towards architect. I do not tell her this because she has to figure it all out on her own. My daughter is fifteen and wants to be a gothic mortician.
She has looked for werewolf societies in Las Vegas and can't find any. She accused us of thinking she was weird, but I just said no I think you're fifteen. She did not get it, so I took out my vampire book collection, fake fangs and pictures of me in my short plaid skirts, knee high boots, and little tank tops, and of course my fangs.
Now she is rethinking the fangs.
My husband was surprised because he had no idea that I used to be goth.  But after attending a college class as a goth I felt a little ridiculous.
It is so weird how my feelings are kind of hurt because I am that uncool to imitate.
At least my husband is relieved.

Great parent move!  Kids don't realize that as parents we have done most (if not all) of the stuff they are doing -- it seems like it is original to them, but most of it is recycled.  These punk kids look at me like a conservative middle age guy, little do they know of my 1970's punk experience.

Being uncool is part of parenting, it means you are doing something right.
