UNWANTED SPAM FROM AIDSMED USER

Oh no, not this! I woke up this morning to a lovely spam letter from the user "Harrison Ford" with the subject "What's Up Motherfucker?". I looked up his/her profile and SURPRISE, they just registered today too. I can't find anything in the help area to deal with this. Does anyone know how to handle this situation on the site? Thanks!!!  ???

There is already a thread about this in the Living forum

The person who sent that message has now been banned. Please just delete the PM... and don't follow the links, you might end up with spyware or worse on your computer.

Sorry, things like this happen sometimes on public forums.

Nice work with the Photoshop, though...lol

There have been a few mod suggestions for SMF regarding SPAM PM's...  nothing finished, though.  I advised Peter on the best and pretty much only way to thwart this at the time being.

From the sounds of post over at the SMF forum, this is becoming more of a common thing, so hopefully, they will have a mod soon.

I've suggested a possible way to end this over at the SMF site, we'll see if anything becomes of it.

I also suspect their mental age is less than 14 years.
