Officially worse off than I was before...
« on: January 29, 2007, 04:49:05 pm »
i just got lab results back for my blood draw taken the Monday following my mental hospital week+

My previous T-cell count was 701 (from Oct 06), now I am at 476 (1/22/07)

My recent experience with Georgia's Mental Health has certainly smacked my immune system good!

What continues to piss me off the most were the repeated questions: "Do you want to hurt yourself?" over and over, every day. All the while, because they presumed to manage my HIV and GERD meds their own way rather than the way *my* doctor told me, everything has gone to shit and it's left to *me* to pull my ass out of this hole someone else has dug.

I have started my own blog regarding my issues with life, rather than play them out here

The last line in your blog entry is "Tell me why I shouldn't be pissed." Not going to tell you that, be pissed all you want right now. You've been through the ringer and anyone would be surprised if you were NOT pissed.

That having been said, I hope you're able to move beyond the anger, after a little while. Anger and stress aren't good for the immunse system either.

About those T-cells: I wouldn't worry about the decline in absolute numbers too much if your percentage remained relatively stable. Do you know what those percentage values are?

Her finely-touched spirit had still its fine issues, though they were not widely visible. Her full nature, like that river of which Cyrus broke the strength, spent itself in channels which had no great name on the earth. But the effect of her being on those around her was incalculably diffusive: for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.

I know you have been through hell, but I see so many good things about your life.
You may be screwing the proverbial pooch, but I see a larger upside for you.
I would never presume to advise you about your life choices, as I am in no better condition myself.
I just see better things for you.
