Title: Hepatitis test result
Post by: sanitex on November 19, 2013, 04:59:36 am
Hello everyone ,today I collect my HBv test and it was positive ,here is the result ,Anti-HBs ( quantitative ) Anti-HBs positive  ,Titer 16.95 mlu/ml<10.00 .
I'm still confuse with this cause when I was first diagnosed with HIV 2007 I ran the test it was negative and I was vaccinated three time then , and I'm on regimen atripla since then .
please what should I do for this, can I infect someone with it now, because my girlfriend has been dealing with cough, flu, for almost a week now can this be the symptom for HIV or HBv?
Pleaseo read and say your thought. please I'm still confuse of this,is't possible to Infect someone in this way? We practice protected vagina sex and hook up with a deep kissing even some times I gave her oral sex and fingering . We kissed all time, and condom never broke one day But today will be three month we knew each other but she's having serious cough and ruining nose a bit fever cuase by sore throat just only 2 days toady, also she just see her period now , so I'm afraid if she's infected with HIV but I'm undetectable for almost 5yrs on Atripla CD4 429VL<40. Please should I worry about this, of course I tested every three month .i knew u have explain to me many times there's no risk to infect by this. We only met once a week but we had protected vagina intercourse and she perform oral to me once since we became friends but no pre-cum,cause I make sure there's no pre-cum on my penis ,please is't possible to infect her from this ?even when we are kissing or romancing I make sure I didn't remove my underwear to avoid my pre-cum touch her vagina and before I starting to inserted her I use my underwear to clean up the pre-cum. mum, while I'm saying this was I'm not going to disclose my status to her due i dnt trust her enogh.how about even if i dipped her just some seconds before putting condom but i'm sure no pre-cum on my penis, does that carry a risk to infecting her? thanks from Thailand .
you have answer this question but I brought it to you again to evaluate with my newly result .
Do to my girlfriend cough and flu I went for HBv test which came back positive  ?here is the result (Anti-HBs (quantitative )Anti-HBs positive ,Titer 16.95 mlu/ml ALT 65 ,AST 33 .but my cd4 still go up from 429 to 455 vl <40.please should she be infected with HIV now as I'm afraid or HBv?
But I'm still surprised while my HBv tested positive while I check when I was first diagnosed and it was negative then I took vaccination for HBV then, that was 2008.please what should she do now ,should I ask her to go and check HBv now or not..

This just means you have HBV antibodies. If you have had an HBV vaccine you will have antibodies. It does not mean you have HBV. - matt

It was negative before you had the vaccine.  The vaccine made your body produce the antibodies to Hep B as a protective measure.  You now WANT TO SEE a positive antibody result for this.  It shows that the vaccine works and that you continue to be immune to Hep B.

IT IS A GOOD THING.....

Thanks Bockers, I was confuse for the whole day about this result I can't even eat.
So you mean that I don't have Hep B?As you state that the vaccine made my body to produce the antibodies to Hep B as a protective measure right?.  So  It shows that the vaccine works and  I'm not going to get infected or infect someone with the Hep B virus and I'm immune to Hep B.
Please I'm not a native speaker ,could you explain to me the meaning of ,(I'm immune to Hep B) because I'm going to see my ID doc tomorrow so that I'll not be an ignorant.
Please anyone can explain if you know better,

,here is the result ,Anti-HBs ( quantitative ) Anti-HBs positive  ,Titer 16.95 mlu/ml <10.00 .

Yes, your results mean that you are protected from Hep B. Thanks to the vaccine you now have the antibodies that will fight Hep B if you enter in contact with this virus, which is why the "antibodies test" is positive.
In other words: you do not have Hep B and you cannot have it (= you are immune to it) as long as you have the antibodies.
Good news ;)

Your girlfriend may have cough and flu, it doesn't mean that she has HIV... You are undetectable and used condoms for vaginal intercourse, so don't worry.
