Already having the nightmares. ><;.
« on: June 19, 2006, 01:42:07 pm »
And I'm just barely into summer break.  :(

You know, the school nightmares. So far I've had the classics -
- Not knowing where my locker is.
- Getting lost finding my room.
- Not getting along with the teachers.
- Having hated teachers from my past.

But I've also had nightmareish episodes of -
- People I don't like asking me out during school.
- Getting chased by people who want to beat the shit out of me.
- Being called names. :(
- Having my schedule fucked up.

Help me.
 :'(
I shouldn't be getting these until mid-August.

Think of it as cognitive pre-planning. Devise a plan B for each scenario, and you can banish all of those rampaging nightmares, and get on with having your usual nightmares. ;D

You mean the ones where I have to fight off a horde of zombies in my backyard with junk from my room?
 :(

I hate those.

Raises the question: What sort of zombie-killing junk do you HAVE in your room?

Criminey.

Well, I have some zombie killing head-chopping-off axes next to the vampire killing stakes and the werewolf killing silver bullets.

Doesn't EVERYONE? God. No one is prepared anymore.

zombie killing junk is an absolute requirement.   I too get those zombies coming after me.   Quite often I dream of Sleestaks from the Land of the Lost.

I'm crazy....and I really hate the dreams I've been having lately.  They are seriously fucked up and not in a good way. :(

My dreams are so trippy sometimes it's funny even ifthey're terribly frightening.

I dream about serial killers, monsters, zombies, vampires, werewolves, ghosts.

I had a dream once that if you stepped on certain spots on the ground zombies would come up and attack you. But they couldn't get you if you were standing somewhere ELSE.

I also had a dream that Matty and Bucko adopted me.  :D

I ALSO had a dream that this guy I have had a crush on since I was 13 was part of this secret military spy operation and that's why he wouldn't date me. x_x;. Eep.

Is any of this crazy dreaming related to Sustiva?
Her finely-touched spirit had still its fine issues, though they were not widely visible. Her full nature, like that river of which Cyrus broke the strength, spent itself in channels which had no great name on the earth. But the effect of her being on those around her was incalculably diffusive: for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.

You might wanna try reading non-violent stuff before you sleep. Listening to relaxing music might help too. And for God's sake, no Resident Evil on the Playstation after dinner. Seriously :)

My best cure for insomnia is German philosophy. Two pages of Hegel or Heidegger and... zzzz. Better than Ambien. And then I dream of wonderfully bloodless abstract things like Historical Consciousness and Being-as-being. Tame monsters, comparatively.
