I'm going to be a little mechanical today
« on: March 10, 2012, 05:31:38 am »
 8)

After Ed and I do our morning walk/jog, and do some errands,  I decided to change out the shock absorber/struts, on my car.  I've got some wear in the rear ones, and the mounts/ bushings are worn.  So, I went out yesterday and bought the parts, I have all the necessary tools.  It's not that difficult of a job, but it saves me a few bucks, than having a dealership do it.

I Prefer to do the job myself, than have someone else working on it. I have very little trust in others doing work on my car. But,  there are times when others have to do the work.

Now, as long as it doesn't rain.  There's a slight chance today.

I am not all that mechanical. I can plaster walls, do plumbing, etc., but car repairs, lo though I would like to, are sometimes beyond me.

HUGS,

I'm very electrical, good with car stereo's , satellite radio's, audio sound systems and DJ-equip, lighting, ceiling fans.....

I used to change my own oil, but found it cheaper to have it done ( cuz I have nowhere to throw out the old used oil & filter ) and just didn't want to be bothered with a it anymore...

however on a good nice sunny day, I do still wash & wax my truck, as hubby laughs at me out the bedroom window  ::)

Just with these replies I know there's a joke lurking...a really, really good one...it's on the edge of my consciousness...now if I could remember where I left my brain.
Of course it's important. It's an email...

Well,...  That was a real nut buster !!  ::) Those bolts just didn't want to break loose, but I got em. The job took about 90 minutes. I think the bolts, may have had the original thread sealant on them. I got the job finished, all went well, and the car rides great! It's a nice ride again!
