I'm Undetectable!!! Thanks Atripla! :)
« on: December 28, 2010, 08:43:54 pm »
Hey everyone, got my checkup and lab numbers today and I'm now undetectable after 4 months on Atripla! O yaa! Can't believe how quickly I got here. I am so glad I decided to start treatment even though I felt ok. But wow, now I have SO much energy that I haven't had in ages. Before I started meds my numbers weren't terrible, so I felt apprehensive about starting. I'm so glad I did. My quality of life is way better than before. I've been out shovelling snow, jogging, and I don't feel tired and sluggish like before. I just am hardIy ever tired anymore! I have even continued putting on weight slowly but surely, which is cool for me since I've always been skinny and had trouble with that lol..I would like to thank everyone on here for the support and for being here and giving insights.. I'd also like to tell anyone who is apprehensive about starting treatment that I know how you feel, and it is definitely worth it to start! Atripla has worked wonders for me but everyone is different, so different people might need different meds. But don't be scared, it gets better, especially after the first few weeks! I will definitely be having a few extra New Years Eve to celebrate this lol.  Happy New Year, all!

Congrats!!  I've said here before that I think I felt better in the months following getting only Sustiva therapy--which got my vl down to UD (or almost UD) and my CD4 over 1,000.  Even after recovering from pneumonia, I remember having more energy and the most sexual energy I've had in a while.  I would wake up bright and early and get a lot done.  Some have said I probably just felt better after recovering from being sick or that I've lost some of that energy due to depression coming to terms with the virus--saying I was still in a denial phase in those first several months.  In any event, it makes me think about starting meds.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear the good news and much success!

Awesome to hear.  My latest lab results were from when I switched from Sustiva/Truvada to Atripla.  I was quite impressed with the numbers and hope the next results are even better.  Hope to hear more positive results from you and Happy New Year.

I know you just loved hearing those numbers.  That was a milestone I will never forget.  The results were given to me over the phone and to hear that word 'undetectable' sure made my day.  Atripla worked and still is working wonders for me and it sounds like its doing the same for you.  Great news!
