Weird foot issue

So here goes...a couple of weeks ago i got this little boil on the sole of my foot..no big deal.  Then it popped and now i have this awful scaly, dry and itchy patch the size of a nickel that wont go away.  Now another boil presented itself somewhere else...
Any thoughts to what it could be?  Fungal, bacterial?
Going to have it looked at next week...till then, im just trying to keep it clean and aired.

hi brenner,
sounds like could be just a simple boil if its the only one present.  Have you been checked for diabetes?  some folks with sugar issues show symptoms in there feet, but im guessing its just a simple bacterial thingy,

Boils are bacterial infections.

You should really get that checked out by a doctor. You may need a course of antibiotics and also a stronger prescription antibacterial body wash. In the meantime, get some OTC antibacterial hand wash and use it all over.

Years ago (long before hiv) I had a problem with boils for a while and it took what I describe above to get it under control. We all have bacteria on our bodies, but sometimes they can get out of control even when we're bathing regularly and practicing good hygiene. A bacteria known as Staph can get out of control quite easily (for example).

Some strains of Staph have developed resistance to antibiotics, so make sure you see a doctor about this. Good luck!

Totally agree with the other posts.  I have had major foot problems, mainly lipoatrophy, and some fungal issues.  Hook up with a good foot doctor before things get too far out of hand.  I'm glad you are pro-active and asking for advice.
