Henry's latest lab results
« on: August 04, 2011, 09:59:36 pm »
I'm not sure if I've ever posted by lab results before, as I think I was afraid to "jinx" them.  However, I visited the doctor today, and my viral load was undetectable (on the new "less than 20 copies" test), my CD4 was 622, and my percentage was 28.

What I am truly grateful for is the fact that I have been undetectable for 7+ years since starting meds (except for one blip on 2009), and that I was fortunate enough to stave off taking meds for the previous 14 years (I really don't know how) before I had to start meds.  Most of the time I'm quite happy to swallow the pills every day.

If anyone's interested, August 14 will be the 21st anniversary of my diagnosis, though my infection and seroconversion was in July/August of 1989.

Glad to still be here and among you all....

Henry

I am hoping to have an attitude like yours when I am celebrating  my 21st anniversary -
Unless of course we have a cure by then -
Then I will have an attitude like you even before that.

That is wonderful and Great number, sir.

I wonder why some guys here are off the meds. Is it because of good numbers you are at and advice from your doctor?   Knowing your status and the advantage of these meds, don’t you think that it is a risk by not taking the meds?  I don’t exactly recall if this issue has been discussed here.
