Really worried about exposure

Had an exposure on 19 May 2013. It went like this, went to a chinese massage parlour in Dubai,  the lady gave a massage with happy ending hand job using some cream without condom but at the same time I sucked her nipples and am reasonably sure that there was no secretion(but not absolutely certain), but my biggest concern is that I have reasonable severe bleeding gums and is worried that the ladywho is also a csw, might be lactating and then i would be in deep trouble due to my oral situation. Kindly assess my riak as I am really worried and not really able to focus on anything.So please help.  Dean.

It wouldn't matter if she were HIV positive and you did get some of her breast milk . The danger of passing on HIV through breast milk is only from mother to child and that's because the infant has a immature immune system . You didn't have a risk . 

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED HIV TESTING AT THIS TIME, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

Phew, Thank you Jeff, was really worried last few days browsing net like crazy and getting more worried., now I think ill move on.  still do you think testing is required for this episode? You guys dont know what service you are doing doing for general society.. Bravo.

Hi Dean ... you don't need testing over this incident . If ever there was a no risk incident yours is the one . You had absolutely zero risk for acquiring HIV and I personally wouldn't waste another moment of life worrying about it .

Jeff, Now I am really worried, though it seems an open and shut case of zero risk, as now I am having diarrhea for last 3 days also a mild sore throat on and off. BUT the thing I am really worried is that I had sex with my wife (protected with condom) but I did masturbate her with  uncircumsised penis  ie rubbed my penis on her vagina and might have dipped in the process that was on the 26th May ie 7th day of my exposure AND NOW today morning ( 10 day she woke up with fever and flu with sorethroat and is still down feeling feverish with sore throat .

Now I am very very scared that I must have caught the virus somehow (although the exposure was exactly what I have mentioned earlier and as mentioned I might have caught the virus thru my bleeding gums and thru the CSW's breast milk as I remember she(csw) had a reddish rash on her forearm at that time.

Is there any possibility ( any long shots)that I might have contacted the virus

By the way I have given my blood samples for PCR RNA today ie 15th day of exposure.

HIV is one of the most carefully studied pandemics of the century, if not THE most carefully scrutinized.

If there was ANY risk whasoever for HIV in the scenario you described, we would have absolutely told you.

You did not get HIV from sucking a breast. No adult male has, or can. And you certainly did not give HIV to your wife through frottage and dipping, as A) those are not considered risks and B) you absolutely cannot transmit a disease you do not have.

I understand your anxiety over the event, but please understand there is no credible science to fortify your fear.

As Andy Velez is wont to say, "feelings are not facts."

It sounds like you are suffering a classic case of guilt .

You did not have even the slightest of risk and it would be impossible for you to have been exposed in the manner you are concerned about , HIV can not be transmitted to an adult via breast milk , this is not opinion , its a scientific fact . If you are sick go see your doctor but it is NOT HIV that's making feel ill .
