Sorry, I couldn't think of anything snappier.  It's still quite early and my brain hasn't woke up yet.

Drag, it's good to hear from you.  We miss you when we don't.  I'm sure there's a ton of stuff you're getting done.  It's this next weekend, right?  Wow, I can't believe one of us is getting married.  I know you're going to have a beautiful wedding and I just wish I was there to cheer you on.  You take care of yourself this week.

I have nothing planned except studying today.  I'm not sure if my brother is coming over or not for continuation of "The Wire."  You ladies have a good day.  I'm off to read the paper (and study).

The title works for me BT! Oh and I just want to say that everytime I see your avatar I laugh. I think it is so funny!

Well, I am supposed to be doing all my lesson plans but I really don't want to. I am also trying to do laundry...sometimes I just hate doing work!

Yesterday I went to see my friend who I have not seen in a few years. It was really nice. It was as if time had not gone by. I told her about my status, I could not be to candid because her 4 yr. old daughter was there so it was kind of like code. She was fine with it. She really didn't ask many questions and I'm not sure if that was because of her daughter or the shock. I told her that I was nervous about telling her for fear of how she would react and she totally reassured me. I just know I feel good about it and I am glad she is back in my life... :) So, my first "disclosure" went well. Baby steps....I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Has anyone heard from Mum? It has been a REALLY long time since she has posted which is not usual. Any information???? I hope she and her family are ok.

Hi Viv and BT~

I was wondering about Mum as well, she's always on here.  Iceman is still down in the NC mts, trickling into TN and having a great time.  I shaved Cheech again today because this weather is still too warm for him during the day.  I am going to pack up my things and get on back to my place tonight.  Back to work tomorrow!

Hey ladies,

Andrea, I'm so glad your first disclosure went well.  Sometimes we worry about things that really turn out alright.  Good for you!

Cin, going back to the homestead, aye?  How long will your Ice be gone?

I read a bit of my homework today.  Other than that, nothing exciting.  My brother didn't make it over tonight.  He teaches at two universities and he said he's got catching up to do.  I just keep watching my belly grow.  My daughter said she's got "rolls."  I told her not to worry about that until they turn into a whole tire, like mine. :P  Have a good night everyone.

Camry and I must have posted around the same time. I didnt see her thread until now. I'm sorry. I hope you can find someone to help you gain some feeling of control in your life.

I forgot about something I did several years ago. I casually knew a pos woman from a social group and she had been very very thin when I first met her. Several years later I ran into her again and she had a very large belly. She looked 8 or 9 months pregnant. Dumb me approached her and was excited for her being pregnant said something to the effect of when was her baby due.
She was not pregnant. She had a really bad case of lipodistrophy. She really, really looked pregnant. I felt like an idiot. I'll never ask another pos woman if she is pregnant again. LOL

Afternoon ladies,

Mahalia, I have no experience with Atripla, sorry.  I tried Sustiva, but I switched due to some psychological issues it was causing.  Some people though do great on it.  I suppose everyone just has to try it themselves.  When do you start your new job?

I did the rest of my homework and cleaned my apartment.  So at least I accomplished something today.  Nothing else been going on.  It's very warm here, so I also hand-washed a couple shirts, put them on hangers and put them outside to dry.  I hope they smell good when I bring them in.  You ladies have a good evening.

Hi GFs~

Iceman and the Hogs are riding back up today -- all day long, prob won't get home until close to midnight, I say.

I drove to work from my place today for the first time in weeks and it was OK going in.  The commute home sucked with my neck.  I am so exhausted.  Going to go do laundry and make some soup.

Hello All,

I took your advice, and I reached out to my physco Therapist, and we arranged for me to admit myself first thing in the morning. I will be for 72 hours. I must admit that I'm looking forward to it. My only complaint at this point is the security measures they might have there. Meaning like do the men just get to roam the halls, and in and out of different rooms.

Honestly that's my biggest fear, because I will not feel safe. I guess I Will see 2morrow. I told my Physco Therapist that if they get to roam freely that I will not be admitting myself. I will just find another way to deal with my issues. My Infectious Disease doctor is looking for me a support group on my area.

I would like to thank all of you, for your kind words. I truly appreciate it. I will keep you all posted with what happens 2morrow. Let's hope they don't to roam freely. Until next time you all continue to be blessed." Camry"

Cin, I hope your neck feels better once you're able to relax.

Camry, there are people who work there who control people "who roam the halls" be they men or women.  I would give it a chance.  Good luck to you and please let us know how you are when you get out.

Nothing happening.  Just wanted to reply to the ladies here.

Hello everyone!

Mahalia- I have been on Atripla for almost 2 years and there aren't really any problems. For the first couple of weeks it made me feel like I was drunk or something. I called it the LSD pill. I just made sure to take it right before bed. Every so often I have vivid dreams but there are not other issues. No lipo and no mental problems. I have never heard about that one. I have responded well to it. Good luck!

Well, I finally went to the doctor today for my cough. He put me on an antibiotic, gave me and inhaler, and told me to start taking Mucinex. Hopefully it will help it. I also scheduled ANOTHER appointment with the gyno on Friday. I guess there are more problems...great. I have to take the day off and I hate that. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Good Morning Ladies,

Just dropping in to check on everyone. I had a killer paper on numbers again in accounting. (Blah) Everything has been going well for me as of the moment. My PaP came back normal. I decieded to go to my regular OB/GYN. At first I was scared and was just going to let my ASO doctor do it. But I need to go to my regular dr. so I can keep my birth control. Disclosing to her was easy. I had to pump myself up to do it. I have been seeing this women since I was 18.

Mahalia. I have been on Atripla for 8 months. I have had no problems with it. Like Viv said I had the drunk feeling for the first week or so. Now i'm good. I can even take it after I eat. I do get some crazy dreams every now and then, but I was getting those before I started the meds.

Viv- I'm glad you went to the dr. about your cold.

BT- How is school going for you? I have 6 more classes and I will graduate what about you.

Hello to all my ladies, Snow, Wish, CJC, netta, drag, tendai and everyone else I forgot . Love you girls.

Morning ladies,

Andrea, I'm so glad you went to the doc about your cough.  It sounds like you caught it in time.  I had an infection like that a few months back where the doctor put me on antibiotics and gave me an inhaler, and also told me to use Mucinex.  That stuff is pretty expensive, but is sure does the trick. I used Mucinex DM, if I'm remembering right.   Please take care of yourself.  And let us know what the gyn says on Friday.  This is because of abnormal cells?

Keeping, good to hear from you.  That's funny, after this semester, I only have six more classes also (did we plan that right).  I'll be able to graduate in May and just take the two classes next summer.  I couldn't imagine doing a "numbers" paper.  This Microeconomics class is almost causing my brain to quit.  You're getting a degree in Accounting?  You're a better person than I am.

It's rainy and back to being fall.  I got all the morning stuff done (exercising, cleaning the kitchen).  I'm going to review the chapter for the Microecon class so hopefully I'll be able to follow it a bit when the professor is talking about it and kind of sound like I know what I'm talking about.  Actually, it was about world hunger, but like from an economist's point of view.  See, I'm more a humanitarian person than a business math person, so all this is Greek.  But, it's over in two more classes.  I sure hope I pass it.

Nothing else to report at the moment.  You ladies have a good day.

Hi everyone,
Lucas had his checkup with the neurologist. He was very pleased with how Lucas is doing :). He said to just keep doing what we're doing and return in 6 months for another checkup. I was talking to him about Lucas strabismus and he gave me the name of a neuro-opthamologist ???. He said it didn't seem bad to him but that if I wanted another opinion he thought that was who we should see. I never heard of that specialty before. Lucas has appointments with his vision therapist and his opthamologist in the next couple of weeks. If the therapist recommends therapy and the opthamologist re comends surgery again than I think I'll call for an appointment with the neuro-opthamologist.

Netta - I'm so sorry for your loss :'(. Your in my thoughts and prayers.

vivyt - I'm glad you finally got in to your doctor. Take care of yourself and keep us posted.

BT - It's almost over. Keep up the hard work. I'm so proud of what you're accomplishing.

Keeping - Way to go. I'm so glad your hard work is almost done.

Mum - I'm not sure what's going on but we're worried about you and miss you.

Well, Lucas has therapy soon so I have to sign off. Have a good day everyone.

hie ladies

viv - its good u went to the doctor about your cough, wouldnt want it growing worse and worse. and im glad your disclosure with your friend went well. kind of gives you the guts to do be able to do it again if u ever have to doesnt it? good luck with the gyn.  i've never been to one before.  the one time i needed a doctor for down there was when i had an embarrassing incident with a clove of garlic and the female doctor i hoped to see wasnt there so i had to have the guy doctor who was there do it. i was too embarrassed for words

amy - glad Lucas is doing ok.

drag - the day draws nearer...girl im very excited for you!

keeping and Betty - good going with school. i think if i ever go back to school i'll just do short courses or something

mahalia - good luck with the Atripla. im not sure if its available but i would like to be on that when my time for meds comes coz it seems to be the most convenient. one pill before u go to bed..  when do u start your new job?

camry - good luck at the hospital. im sure you will be safe and i hope it yields positive resutls for you.

cindy - its great hearing u and iceman going stronger than ever

guess what.  shyguy came to see me the other day.  looking sooooo fine i couldnt take my eyes off him.  he is so definitely CAKE  and i wish i could have some, im so so so tempted. lovely chocolate cake. but then again my mind has been in the gutter these past few days and he just showed up and became a 'target'. hopefully my hormones will settle down soon.
and the leg-humper i thought was female keeps going on about how much he loves me etc and i told him "no no no no" and he says "no matter what u say i still love u and i wont stop telling you". that annoys me so much i feel like screaming at him. i ended up giving my phone to my nephew while he was still on the line coz i was about to be very rude to him. he was saying "if u were God would you answer my prayer that u be mine' and im like WTF kind of question is that.  honestly he's starting to freak me out. he's like those obsessive psychos or something. plus he's married! and i told him i cant be involved with a married guy and  he says something like just becoz he told me he's married everythings ok and we should go ahead and go out. WTF! mr creepo..

anyway i hope everyone is doing ok out there. we're waiting for the dumb idiot presidnet and prime minister to talk and negotiate and reach an agreement about the cabinet.  maybe the country can get back to normal if that is possible at all. we're like a runaway train speeding into the unknown..
catch y'all on the rebound :*

Good Morning Ladies!

Well I am still hacking away and I don't know if it is possible but I feel worse. I can't stand coughing junk up, it totally makes me sick. If things don't change by Saturday I am going to have to go back in.

Tendai- That "leg humper" sounds like a creep. I wouldn't answer my phone when he calls. He'll get the message.

#1Mom- That's good that Lucas's appointment went well.

BT- What will you do when you're done with school? Yes the gyno appt. is for an abnormal pap. I had one and the doctor did the colposcopy, then another pap, and now she wants to talk to me about these results. Whatever it is, it can't be good or she would have just told me over the phone. I'm totally indifferent about it. I mean the worst has already happened...(HIV)

Keeping- How on earth do you right a paper on numbers??

Hey girls,

Keeping, I hear you on those math classes.  Especially business math.  It does suck; everything about it.

Amy, I'm glad Lucas' checkup went well.  I've never heard of a neuro-ophthalmologist either, but perhaps it's worth a shot.

Tendai, that leg-humper is a strange-o.  I wouldn't answer his calls or talk to him if I saw him.  I agree with Mahalia-warn him you're going to call the police, then do it if he persists.   I'm keeping you in my thoughts about the government mess in your country.  I actually talked about that a bit (from what I know) in my Microecon class last night.  We were talking about world poverty.  I truly hope things improve.

Andrea, did you get the Mucinex DM?  I know it's expensive, but it usually works pretty well.  I hope you get to feeling better soon and that it's not pneumonia.  Please take care of yourself.  And please let us know what your gyn says.  You're in my thoughts as well.

Mahalia, oooh, be careful with that UTI.  I used to get those all the time.  They suck.  Especially feeling like you have to go every minute, then when you do go it hurts like hell.  Drink tons of water.  And cranberry juice helps.  Take care of yourself, girl.

One more Microecon class to go.  I have to write a paper on world poverty and how to end it.  I have to write it from the book's perspective, two movies (we saw last night) perspective and my own perspective.  I'm not going to do that until probably Friday.  Please, please, keep your fingers crossed that I pass this class.  Tonight is Government and I hope the teacher lets us out early so I can watch the final debate between Obama and McCain.  Obama's ahead of McCain and I hope it keeps that way.  God help us all if McCain gets in.  We'll have wars galore and state programs will be cut-a lot.

Anyway, I'm going to check out a few more threads and do some reading.  You all have a good day.

Hi GIRLS, i am back home safe and sound. What an ordeal. I sang at my nephews funeral . My tribute to him. I also got an invtation to record in the studio! by two different people. I am trying to regroup, very tired. To catch up a little, the day my nephew was killed, I HAD JUST BOUGHT A NEW CAR!!!! Well a 2006 chevey malibu. Its a long story, but I have been praying for a financial blessings and it came! No not my lawsuit, that is still pending, but my dear departed dad. The bank  found a cd, that had been unclaimed and it was for me and my sister. You can imagine how happy and shocked I was!!! I was able to buy a car, cash! and get a laptop and give my family some money. I AM VERY BLESSED, ALTHOUGH, my nephew got killed that very nite! my sister is doing better,I had to fly out the same day i got the news, if it had not been for my dad , i would have not had the money to fly. Mixed blessing, i don't question God, my nephew is at rest, and in a better place. My family took it very hard. I am just glad I was there. I have missed you all, glad to be back, be patient with me, as i don't feel like posting many days, but i had to let you know, don't give up on your dreams. GOD IS GOOD

Hello ladies and especially Tendai who is now live online  :-* ;D [we have the same time zone]

...I just wanted to post that b4 she gets called by Dr Evil or something... Tendai, please be careful from that creepo. I somehow dont see you going to the police over there - its probabaly full of worse ppl than him - i could be wrong but thats what I imagine. But just ignore him and if he doesnt let go have a male friend shout at him. he creeps me out. God, where do those guys crawl under from?

Netta, its great to hear from you. Im so sorry for your loss. You're an inspiration though in how you handle things. I hope the money will keep you going for awhile, and that those recordings come thru, I bet you're really talented.

Mahalia, these infections are a bitch, if you can get the juice it really helps but you might have to take antibiotics, I did once when I had it severe.

#1 glad for the good news about little Lucas, he is adorable.

Betty, Im sure you'll ACE that paper. I'm terrified of McCain winning, I told my mom Im more worried about that than my wedding. It will have a devastating effect globally, esp on where Im from but in the (slightly longer term) with Palin in charge of energy policies, as you wrote, God help us.

Andrea, what's with the hacking?! Don't neglect yourself please.......

Camry, I hope the hospital makes you feel better.

Cindy, is your wild hog back yet? youve been sleeping 3 weeks away from home? I guess Cheech is with you.

Keeping, I dont know how you remained so cool up until your wedding. I am not. At all. I wish I had a friend here just as a shoulder for all the jitters Im experiencing.

Brandy I hope yore feeling better? Is this stone supposed to come out by itself?

Wendy, Queen, sorry I forgot your lasts posts, cos they arent in the thread, hope youre doing good.

Sweet C, id say there must be 2 reasons, one that sustiva (also found in atripla) is considered potentially harmful to a featus (or however you spell that); or possibly, b/c it has sometimes destabalizing mental effects (had on me at least) might be worse on a woman b/c we take the same dosage while being generally thinner and with a different metabolism than men (like we get drunk faster for instance),plus we have the whole hormonal thing going on. Just a guess but why dont you ask her. I always ask my doc with questions, he complained that too much, well if I see a doc once every few months Im entitiled to I reckon.

Greetings to everyone I missed - I dont know if I will post again b4 I leave, its just the day after tomorrow. I hope you're all doing well, see you all soon. Hugs,

netta - congrats on the windfall. mixed blessing for sure but God does work in mysterious ways.
sweetc - did your doc give  a reason why she wont prescribe atripla and sustiva? is she an HIV specialist?

mahalia - i hope the antibiotics work. and i heard cranberry juice works wonders too

viv - maybe u need different drugs or a stronger dose for your cough. i hope its nothing too serious

betty - u know what really sucks about our situation is that theres no logical reason for it.  its so obvious what needs to be done to solve our problems but the whole country is being held at ransom by a few individuals who dont want to lose their privileged thieving lifestyles and power under ZANU and we all suffer for it.  i dont know what its going to take for them to put the country first. its so frustrating.  so people just do whatever they can to survive and things just get worse and worse. i couldnt believe when people were talking of this old lady who cooked cow dung and fed it to her grandkids coz they didnt get food from their village headman who was supposed to give them.  they all died and he was arrested.

drag - i sent the leghumper an email telling to stop. if he doesnt listen i will be so rude like he's never heard before.  im getting sick of being polite to him and him not listening to me. and you're right the police will laugh me out of the station even if he is bordering on harrassment. i really wonder too where they come from or maybe im a creep-magnet! :o   Counting down the days girl, im really excited for you!

Good Morning...cough, cough!

Netta- It's nice to hear from you. Congratulations on your new car. I totally know what you mean. Whenever I wonder where I'm going to get the money from something it just somehow all works out.

Mahalia- I'm sorry! Those infections are the worst!

BT- Wow! that is one heck of a paper! Have fun with that. Oh, I did get Mucinex but not the DM just the regular. I don't feel like it really is doing anything. I take it every night a few hours before I go to bed.

Drag- Enjoy your wedding day!!!!

Well tomorrow I go to the gyno. I don't know what stresses me out more, wondering what the doctor is going to say or having a substitue for my class! It is soooo much more work to plan for a sub. I try to avoid being absent whenever possible. Most subs that come are just ridiculous. They don't follow the plans you leave them and they let the kids get away with murder. One time a sub was reading Vogue magazine when my principal walked in. And some of these people wonder why they can't get hired as a teacher! Oh well...I just hope my kids will behave. I always tell them that should act the same way as if I was there but you know how kids are. They try to get away with certain things. I still don't really feel well. I have 2 more days of antibiotics. Shouldn't I be feeling better by now????

Have a good day!!!

Hey ladies,

Netta, I'm so glad something came through for you financially.  And I bet you have an angelic voice.

Sweet C, I don't know why your doctor won't prescribe Atripla or Sustiva.  Some people do really well on it.  I'd ask her.

Drag, wow, only a couple days!  I'm excited and I'm not even going to be there!

Tendai, it's just disgusting what your government is getting away with.  And I'm glad you sent that creepo an e-mail.

Andrea, you should be feeling pretty good by now, I would think.  Of course, I'm no doctor.  The Mucinex DM is supposed to be for coughs.  That's what I took when I had my bout.  I'd get back ahold of your doctor if you're not feeling a lot better when you're done with your meds.

I'm just waiting for my therapist to get here.  He should be here in the next 1/2 hour.  I was going to go shopping today, but I'll wait until tomorrow.  I have a lot of anxiety about the Microecon paper.  Being that a lot of it has to be written from a business math point of view, it worries me.  I'm just not good in that.  You ladies have a good day.

Hello Ladies,

I hope all of you are well. As for me, I still have not found out if I got the job. I went through two interviews. I really hope I get it because it will give me the financial freedom I need. Even to the point where I can have kids.

No new men to speak of. Mostly I get emails from men over in Africa who want to meet a wife. Some are nice, but most are scary. I just hope that I will meet men in my own area, but there is not too many here in MN that use this site.

I finshed my school application and I am scheduled to return Sept 8th, 2009. I am so excited. It gives me a chance to save money.

I have an appointment with my doctor next week. I can't wait to see her. I have so much to go through.

Nothing else really going on. Again I hope all is well with each of you.

Love always

Charity

SweetC

Given your age, that you are sexually active and planning to marry, your doctor is doing right by you not to prescribe Sustiva or a Sustiva-containing med.

This article http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1468418  will help you to understand some of the science behind her prescribing decisions. In short, your doc is doing this to avoid the risk of negatively affecting a fetus if you were to become pregnant.

Drag - Happy b-day! I hope your special day is all you dreamed of.

Netta - Congratulations on the windfall! God does provide! I hope you hear from the studios.

Viv - I hope the news today isn't bad. You're in my prayers.

Best wishes to all.

Thanks everyone for the info on Atripla/Sustiva.  That definitely makes sense.  It seems like Atripla is really popular though.

Dragonette:  Enjoy your wedding day!!!  I know everything will be beautiful.  I am so happy for you!!!!

Tendai:  I don't know the story behind the leghumper, but I hope you get that sorted out ASAP, lol!!!!!!

VivyT:  I really hope you can start to feel better and everything is o.k. at the gyno.  That cough sounds miserable!  I don't think I ever had a sub who ever made us stay on plan when I was a kid.  I know that must be frustrating for you!

Betty:  That microecon paper does not sound like fun!  I always hated econ in school.  Yuk.

Hi Charity:  Hope you get the job!!!  I know you are excited about starting school!!!

Em:  Thanks so much for the link!!!

#1 mum:  Hi!  Glad Lucas is doing better!!!

Hi yumyum!!!!!  What's up????

I got some great news about my mother, who has lung cancer.  She is responding really well to chemo.  She even has days where she is feeling good enough to move around and do stuff.   I think I'm finally starting to get over the shock of my diagnosis, and starting to get back to normal.  Now everything feels just like before, but all during the day, I just keep thinking "wow, I can't believe I'm positive."  I have decided that I am going to get on meds early at the beginning of the year, even though I'm a litle afraid of the side effects.  I want to start back working out to get in good health.  I've put on quite a few pounds in the past two months.  TGIF!!!!

Hi ladies !

Wheeeewweee what a week!

BT65: I have my fingers crossed that you pass the class!

Mahalia: Have you tried taking AZO Standard for your UTI? It doesn't get rid of the infection but it does relieve the symptoms. It is over the counter.

Vivyt: Glad that the disclosure went well! Your cough any better today?

Cindy: How is your neck doing? YOu staying at Iceman's this weekend?

Camry: Thinking of you and hope you are doing ok.

Keeping: Glad your pap came back normal. I always have abnormal ones and jump up and down if I get a normal one.

#1 Mom: That is great that Lucas is doing well!

Tendai: Did you get a piece of that yummy cake?

Netta: It is weird how things happen huh? I am happy yet sad for you at the same time. I am sure it is a wide range of emotions for you as well.

Sweet C: Great news about your mom!

Dragonette: I wish you the best on your beautiful day!

Well, it is finally Friday and my boyfriend's band debut (for the first time this year) is tomorrow night and I am really excited. I hope they don't ask me to go on stage and do my little "backup" vocals that I did on their cd. In case though, I will have a few drinks beforehand. I am taking my kiddos to a cousin's house to stay the night and Sunday my littlest one will be 3 !!!  Man how time flies. My ex (who infected me) is still texting me. His birthday was the other day and he sent a text saying his birthday wish didn't come true because I was still alive. What a weirdo. I hope he gets the help he needs soon. Well, have a good weekend!

Good afternoon ladies! The cough is still here but I feel a little better so that is good.
I went to the gyno today to get my results and it was not good. It turns out that I have pre-cancerous cells and the doctor wants to do a cone biopsy. Basically they go in and remove a portion of the cervix in the shape of a cone. She said that they will test this and also remove the bad cells so that when the cervix regenerates itself it should come back fine. So...I have to have a little surgery which sucks but on the positive side it is good that they caught it before it became cancer. I thanked the doctor for doing the second test after the colposcopy came back fine. Had she not who knows what would have happened. I am having it done in a couple of weeks. So, that is the update.

Evening ladies,

Charity, good luck on getting that job.

Yum, welcome to the forums.

Sweet C, that's great news about your mum.  I'm glad about that.  The news about being + (I see you haven't been diagnosed that long) will sink in.  Just relax and give it time.

Jenny, have fun at your bf's band debut.  About your ex, well, some people are sicker than others.

Andrea, I'm so sorry about the precancerous cells.  I hope the cone biopsy takes care of it.  Do you have a friend who's going to go with you?

I got the paper done yesterday.  Today I didn't get up until 10:00, and had to do laundry and go shopping.  Speaking of people who've been MIA, Queen hasn't been on in awhile.  Girl, if you're reading, please check in and let us know how you're doing.

That's the news for me.  You ladies have a good evening.

*waves*..Well, Betty, your wish is my command. I stopped in so you wouldn't worry. Not much going on with me, just been into my video games which I tend to do from time to time. Me and Sexy got into an argument a few days ago. I hadn't spoken to him til today when he called while I was out. Not sure what is going to happen next with him. I think he has been so screwed over by a female that he doesn't trust any FEMALE, part of where our problem lies but I really don't feel like getting into it.

I went to my primary doctors today and there were so many kids and screaming, I had to leave. With me wearing hearing aids that is like someone scratching their nails on a chalkboard to me. So. I rescheduled for Monday. Still battling with the freaking gas company, they tried to tax me an extra 68 bucks on my gas bill because they did an estimate reading. Yeah, uh-huh, I called them and took my happy ass outside and read the meter for them. They are still trying to get me to pay a 230 budget billing plan that I did not agree to, so the drama continues with them.

Now you guys got me worried about Mum...Does anyone know how to get a hold of her? I'll prolly check back in in a few days. I just haven't had much to really talk about lately. I hope you all are doing well.

Hi GFs~

I looked in our birthday thread a few weeks ago and saw that Drag's bday is 10/18.  So is she tying the knot on her birthday?  What a weekend!  Yaaaaay Drag!   ;D

I busted ass at work again this week after they made more changes.  We are in teams of two and I helped my teammate get over the hump, so to say.  She wasn't doing any of the new work she was supposed to and had other deadlines to meet.  I did my new work that I had been trained in, as well as my old work, as well as my teammate's work.  Whew!  I am a MACHINE.  We'll see what next week brings.  Oh and PITA is still a PITA.  She's gonna crash and burn cause she's so damn stupid, spolied and simple.  Thank you, Karma.   :D

Yes, I always have Cheech with me when I go to Iceman's.  Iceman drove back from the Wild Hogs trip last Monday, from about 9am to 11pm.  He loved it!

Let's see what else?  I am driving a new route to work that gives me an opportunity to rest my neck some and go at slower speeds through some spots.  Weds - Fri were very good driving days for the first time in MONTHS.  Also, a lot of the anxiety is alleviated.  I even had enough energy to go to the store after work one night and I made it to my support group Friday night.  I couldn't believe it.  I have had no energy for months.

I am fasting right now and ready to eat my arm.  I ate breakfast at 9am and I am skipping lunch to see what this Levemir insulin is doing.  Doctor's orders.  I go see my endocrinologist on Monday to figure things out some.  It just takes time to adjust.  I found out today from my pharmacy that MADAP doesn't cover this insulin?  I am calling them Monday to bitch.  They cover other types.  Queen, do they cover your Lantus?  Also, it pisses me off that they have never covered test strips for diabetics.  How the heck are you supposed to figure out how much insulin to take if you don't use test strips?  I know, its mainly to cover HIV meds, but still......

I love this weather, but the heat needs to come on tonight, with a low of 34 expected.  Cheech and I are so much more comfortable, though!  Yes, he is snoring in the hallway.  LOL

Iceman has the kids this weekend and next, but we may all get together for our first outing next weekend.  I bought the kids Halloween treat bags with goodies in them.

I am meeting my parents tonight for dinner, something I haven't done in awhile because Mom has been tough to deal with.  I guess she has calmed her ass down some.  We'll see what tonight brings.....

I haven't checked Off-Topic but maybe we should start a thread about Mum's whereabouts?  Maybe some of the guys from AMG might have an idea?  I suppose they don't all read the Ladies Thread here and may not know our growing concern.  Maybe she's just lost service for a month?  I am worried.  :(

Also, gas was $3.11 here last week and was $2.69 at Costco Thursday night with lines around the block.  I waited and it was worth it.  Everything else in town is $2.79 and $2.89.

Lastly, but most importantly, I miss Christine and have been bummed this past week.  Friday 10/17 was one year since she passed.  God Bless you, Christine.  :)

Awww, Happy Bday and Congrats, Drag. When the hell am I ever going to be a flower girl... ;) Um, Cindy what does MADAP stand for first of all? And all my diabetic needs are covered, test strips and my Lantus. I am still at 32 units but that may change when I see my doc on Monday. I have been bad and eating my ass off and waking up with sugars in the high 200's. Today it was back at 154 which is the norm when I have my Pepsi.

I do hope Mum is ok, maybe someone should start up a thread on her whereabouts....

Before anyone starts a thread about Mum, she's taking a break. We traded a couple PMs last week (and I still owe her one back - been trying to stay off the computer a bit lately because of a sore shoulder and resulting tension headaches).

As far as I know, she's still reading a bit, but keeping a low profile. Try PMing her, she may answer.

Oh Ann!  TY TY TY for the Mum update!  It really isn't like her to not post after being so active here, but if she's taking a break, we understand.

Thanks for letting us know, and.....

Mum, if you're reading this, we love you and miss you!

***************************************

Queen, (M)ADAP stands for (Maryland) AIDS Drug Assistance Program.  I think a lot of states have ADAP if not all of them.  Normally, I would have to pay my copay at the pharmacy after using my employer's insurance, but MADAP covers the cost of the copay as a secondary insurance.  They cover my Humalog and Humulin N, but not Levemir?  Like I said, I am going to call.  I think Levemir is brand new and they might not have heard of it.

I fasted from 9am until 7pm and it wasn't as bad as I expected.....whew, glad is over, though!  My sugars stayed up just under 200, so I think doc is gonna up my dose come Monday.

I got invited to a Halloween party with old friends from HS for next Saturday.  I guess I'm semi-committed to going since I just bought an outfit online.  I am so excited cause it asked for a bonus code at check out and I didn't have one.  So, I googled the website name+bonus code and got directed to a new page with the codes!  OMG  I saved $6.00 and bought a pitchfork to go with my ensemble, lol.  Yes, I will post pics, and if I don't go to the party, I can at least wear this outfit to give out candy with, at Iceman's house.  Oooooh and I can wear it to work!  I am going to be a Devil Princess   :o  Yes, everything is covered, lol!

Cindy, dearest, it isn't Mum with the shoulder pain, it's me. It's from too much mouse use on the computer. I was explaining why I still owe Mum a PM. It's also because I need to dig up an old PM for Mum ... long story ... and I've got so many darned PMs in my inbox that it will take forever to find it ... I guess I'm being lazy as well as headachy.

Mum, if you're reading this, I'll try to dig that PM up you referenced in your last PM. I honestly don't remember it, so if you still have it, could you copy and paste it into a PM for me? Thanks.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, Ann.  I read your post too quickly!  Yes, that "mouseitis" can get to you after awhile.  I get it in my neck from being on the computer too much.  I hope YOU get some relief!  :)

Afternoon all,

Ann, I hope your shoulder and head feel better.  I try not to stay on the computer too long.

My daughter called last night and told me she's pregnant and keeping the baby.  I cannot tell you all how stressed out I am at the moment.  I told her I know she knows what makes babies by now (and so does her boyfriend).  I of course want to make everything better by having her move here into my imaginary mansion and cover her under my imaginary health insurance.  I just don't understand why she wants to keep it.  She's already given up two kids.  But, I also told her I support her in whatever she decides.  I don't want to drive a wedge between us, so what else can I do.  My stomach has been pretty upset though, lemme tell ya.

I'm going to a friend's grandson's birthday party in a few minutes.  My brother is supposed to come over tonight.  Other than that, nothing else going on.  (I'd rather just stay home in my jammee's and sleep).  You ladies have a good day.

Hello Ladies...

I feel like I have demons working against me, because I came home feeling better, just to be stressed out again. I'm not sure if I stated in my previous post that I'm receiving unemployment benefits. I tried to file my bi weekly claim today just for it to say that my claim is inactive. Not sure what that means, because I have been filing like I'm suppose to.

Now I have to try and figure out what's going on, and try and talk to my rental complex to hold off on taking me to court, because I normally combine both checks to pay my rent. I paid the majority of my rent but still owe them $259 and that's including my late fee. I just can't get a break.
I left the hospital feeling like things were going to get better for me, just to come home to this.

I'm scared, because I never been in this sort of situation before. I just needed to vent.

Afraid, I would get ahold of the office that's handling your unemployment.  Through small steps, things like this can get resolved.  And if you've been a good tenant, I see no reason why your rental property wouldn't work with you.  Good luck and vent anytime.  Don't let this bring you down; it's solvable.

Hello Ladies!

BT- Do you have more than one daughter? I thought you have mentioned something about grandchildren...? Did your daughter place the other children for adoption? I guess, judging by your reaction, it is not a good thing that she wants to keep the baby. Hopefully she will make the best decision for the child. Hang in there. You finished your paper right?  :)

Afraid- I don't even know what to say or how to help. You can vent all you want here.

Cindy- I like your costume! I am going as, this is what the name of it is, "Naughty Wizard". It kind of looks like a girl Harry Potter. Of course, I have to make it Non-naughty for school...LOL! It's just short and sleeveless. I'll just wear a shirt underneath and leggings or tights. I LOVE dressing up for Halloween.

I spent the entire day catching up on all my grading. BORING!!! I am happy to say that my coughing is going away...YAY! I still have a little left but no where near as bad as it was.

Monday morning looms close ahead....I better go to bed.

hi ladies

drag - i hope u had a great weekend with the wedding and the birthday!

viv - at least they caught the thing in time. i hope the procedure works - good luck. and im glad your cough is clearing up.  i remember the lady who worked for us when we were kids, she'd boil guava leaves and chopped up lemons and make us drink the foul water. it really worked for coughs.

queen - hi, good to hear from u. i hope u're feeling better now

afraid - sorry about your situation.  i hope u can work out somthing.   sending u a hug..

BT - must be stressful huh.  maybe its the fact that she gave up 2 kids that makes her want to keep this one. im glad u're there 4 her anyhow

cindy - your costume looks like fun!

tre - hi girl, long time no see. what u been up to?

ann - thanks for the update of mum. hope your shoulder gets better soon

jenny - how did the concert go? did u sing after all?  your ex is f**ked up saying what he did about his birthday wish not coming true. just ignore him. and no i havent had the cake, i knew i'd chicken out...

had an uneventful weekend, spent Friday evening with an ex who's made me realise that i really dont want to be involved with him again.  mr creepo/leghumper sent text messages saying "hi honey what what"  which i ignored.  shyguy is too broke to call me! even if he is cake i have the feeling if i go down that road its going to end up bad. thats why i wont call him anymore, wont llisten to my hormones anymore..
my sister (the one i who'd visited with her son) she's gone and left her in'-laws place. shes staying with my aunt now. which is good coz she was living in a really horrid place where she was always in the dust/mud.  she'll stay there until her husband comes home from Botswana and takes her to a better place of their own. im just glad im single and dont have to deal with situations i dont have to be in such as hers.

better get back to work now. catch u on the rebound..

Afternoon all,

Andrea, I have only one daughter.  She's already had two children who yes, she gave up.  Anyway, I did get the paper done, last Thursday.  This week is the last week of these classes, then they switch.  I'm glad your coughing is getting better.  Sometimes coughs just seem to hang on.

Queen, I hope you're feeling better.

Tendai, it sounds like you're being a good judge of character about the ex.  And you know what, I'm glad I'm single also.  I really have too many other things going on right now to worry about making another person happy.

TreDai, good to hear from you.  Glad all is going well.

There seems to be something (cold) going around all over.  I've read other threads about people being sick.  Next week when I get my Depo shot, I'm also getting a flu shot, and hope everyone else has theirs.  Nothing going on today.  You all have a good one.

tendai- I always get sick with a little stomach bug during my period, although I am sure it isn't a bug but just that my hormones are wacked out and it makes me vomit, almost like morning sickness.

Everything is good here. The show went well the other night. We got kicked out. Good times. Yeah, apparantley it is illegal at that bar to take your drink outside with you when you smoke and the cop/bouncer/rent-a-cop gave us no free passes, he gave us 5 minutes to leave which meant "Animal" (that is what I will call my bf since he is a drummer...you know the characacter from the Muppet Show??) had to break down his drums in that time and be out. It was ridiculous. Their CD Release party is Nov 1 which is the big gig. We will make sure not to take our drinks outside then. Aninal messed up his neck Sunday and is now shacked up in a bed on Loritabs. Got his bloodwork back yesterday and their is some pretty severe inflammation in his body so they are sending him to a specialist for arthritis.

Have a good day ladies!

Hey ladies,

Netta, good luck with the apartment.  I know you've been wanting to move for some time.

Andrea, how's it going?

Tendai, I don't actually know what a bank queue is, but I guess it's like the atm's we have here (automatic teller machines).  I hope you get to feeling better.  I always seem to get sinus trouble the week before my period is supposed to happen.

Jenny, I hope "Animal's" neck gets to feeling better.

Last night was my last Microeconomics class.  As long as I passed, I'll be happy.  I should know sometime tomorrow or next Monday.  So relieved that's over with.  Tonight's my final Government class.  Next week two new classes.

Nothing much has been happening the last couple days.  I've been talking to my daughter on and off to find out how she's been doing, and she tells me she's alright.  I hope you ladies have a good day.

Hey ladies,

Netta, I'm not familiar with the supplement you're taking.  I've heard of black cohosh before, but I couldn't tell you anything about it.  You might want to check with your doctor.

Andrea, I know you're glad this week is almost over.  And it's freezing here in Hoosierville.  They're talking about maybe a little snow next week.  The next two classes are "Forensic Psychology" and "Human Sexuality."

Keeping, congratulations on the B+!  Good job.

Jenny, good luck with the radio interview.

Wendy, what's going on girl?

It has been pretty quiet here.  People must be busy.  I'm waiting for my therapist, then I'm going to my school and to the store.  Nothing going on other than that.  You ladies have a good one.

Nothing much.
We went to Houston again last weekend to meet with the siblings and decide who gets what out of Billy's step dad's house. Billy got several of his maternal grand parents things that where in the house. Which is all he really wanted aside from any money that will come later.
I got a head cold on the trip its in my lungs too. I feel mostly ok. I'm taking bactrim. Its just those annoying sniffles and a pain in the ass cough.

I am taking a break from cleaning house. I just had lunch. I went to work this morning. After that I went to the hospital and picked up some refills and on the way home I stopped at the Half Price Book store and got 3 books out of their clearance section for a dollar each. Other than that its just a plain ole same ole day which suits me fine. Sure as hell beats drama.

hi ladies
i think im getting old.  i changed bags to go to work since i'll be spending friday night at my aunts house so i forgot my wallet in my other bag.  i didnt even have enough money to pay for the kombi ride. he had to settle for $14,000 instead of $20,000. only noticed it when i wanted to pay the conductor. maybe its bcoz i was so pissed at having to come to work when im supposed to be off today, but the lady i work with was like "oooh i'll never manage on my own i cant do it, u know im old and sick, please u have to come".  i had wanted to go to the bank but i cant anyway since i also left my ID at home.. hopefully its not going to ruin the rest of the day.

Hey ladies,

Wendy, please take care of yourself.  I know you have low CD4's, so I get a bit worried when you're sick.   I feel for you sorting out Billy's father's house.  My siblings and I had to do that with my parent's house and there was 50+ years worth of stuff.

Queen, I hope you're feeling better soon.  There's something going around right now.

Tendai, when you talk about a ride to work costing $14,000 it just floors me.  $14,000 here in the states could buy someone a new car.  Inflation in your country is unbelievable.  You really are a survivor to cope with all of it.  Sorry you had to go into work.  I hope you have a good time at your aunts' place.

Well, I got a B+ in Microeconomics.  I have no idea how I managed to accomplish that.  I guess I know more about the economy now than I used to, but I still couldn't figure out those formulas economists use.  Maybe the professor liked my final paper about global poverty.  Who knows. The other class' grade isn't in yet.

It's raining here (has been all day).  I'm going to check out a couple threads and lay down for awhile.  You ladies have a good day.

Yeah it is nasty here too, cold and rainy. It is about time to quit smokin cuz I don't have a covered porch and I am not gonna battle a freakin umbrella while holding a cigarette. Not worth it to me.

Wendy, I hope you get better, both of my daughters have that nasty cough and there is an outbreak of Whooping Cough going around here.

BT, I was thinking the same thing. That better of been one heck of a ride! heee hee. A B+ !!! Awesome!

Queen-hope you get better too !

Well, off to smoke with my umbrella....oh, yeah too much trouble, that's right. Nevermind.

Morning all,

Jenny, there's whooping cough going around here also.  So strange.  Do you have young children and that's why you smoke outside?  When I used to smoke, I smoked indoors.  My daughter's 24 and lives 1/2 way across the country and I figured it's my place and I'll smoke inside if I want to.  Of course, if I had young children I'd smoke outside.  And cigarette smoke isn't very pleasant to smell either, I understand that.

It's very dark and gloomey here.  I'm going in a couple hours to help a friend move.  She's moving back from another town and has tons of stuff.  I guess I can be glad it's not 90 degrees outside.  There's going to be an NA speaker jam tonight that I was going to go to, but I don't plan on it now.  It's the type of day to stay in and read or watch a movie and that's what I plan to do after I'm done helping my friend move.  You ladies have a good day.

I'll be ok. I did not do much yesterday. Today I've likely done too much already LOL
Its not whooping cough thats for sure. Its not a dry cough. It will pass. Just one of those things when you have a shitty immune system.
Billy left early this morning to go get a couple of more things we could not get last time we went to Houston. He is supposed to go and come back but we'll see. I suspect he will because he had to rent a trailer. It should be interesting because the items he is getting are heavy.
I cleaned some of the garage out again this morning. I'll move things around and make room then a week later everything will be all jacked up again. I've bagged up some clothing and other stuff to be donated. I figure if it has been in the garage for as long as it has obviously we dont need it.

Hey all! Well I too still have the remains of my cough. The antibiotics REALLY helped but there's still a little there. I'm still taking Mucinex and using my inhaler. I don't have much going on today. I want to get some work done and then I'm going to a Halloween party tonight.

Have a good day! :)

Hey Ladies----

Sorry, I haven't been posting too much lately. I just really don't have much to say, not depressed or anything. Hell, I haven't even blogged in a few weeks. I have drifted away from Sexy since the arguement, we have talked since then but it turned me off and away from him. Another one bites the dust.

Not doing much today but enjoying the horror flicks on AMC. They are showing some of the Halloween movies since last night was the 30th anniversary of the original. They had Rob Zombie, who shares my Bday, hosting it. and had PJ Soles from the original on there along with the little girl from Parts 4 and 5 who is grown now. So, I have been flipping from there to the Sci-Fi channel cause they are showing some horror stuff too, I just love it. I want to go see Saw 5, has anyone seen it yet?

I have my gf's digital camera so I am going to mess around and take some current pics. Got to get made up for that, I don't want to scare the sh*t out of anyone..*lol* Though I have not been commenting much, I have been reading.

*throws up two fingers*....(not those two fingers...lol) Peace!!!!

Hey ladies,

Wendy, don't overdo it when you're not feeling well.

Andrea, how was the party?

Queen, I love your avvy!  You sound like you're feeling better-that's good.  I've been watching the movies in AMC on and off.

Nothing happening here today.  It's extremely windy-the gusts are going up to 50mph.  I'm staying in. My brother should be coming over tonight for more of "The Wire." I wish that show was still on.  You ladies have a good day.

Good Morning!
Well today I have sooooooooo much work to do and I just don't want to do anything. The party last night was fun, later at home was not so much. I don't know what happened but I was SICK! I am not a real drinker and it doesn't take much to get me buzzed. I had 2 drinks and apparently that was enough. I didn't get much sleep and I had to do some cleaning...I'll spare you all the details...LOL! My mom was with me at the party with her friend and she said I was drunk but I'm certain I wasn't. I mean, I remember all my conversations and everything I did, I drove home...maybe it just didn't settle well with me. Anyways....I think I might take a nap before I get started on my lesson plans... :)

Talk to you all later!

BT- Yeah I have a 3 and a 4 year old and that is definitely why I smoke outside. It sucks. My boyfriend is great though. He has been used to smoking indoors all of his life and now he can't, he is fine with it and understands. My youngest had an unbelievable case of diarrhea over the weekend. She isn't 100% potty trained yet so it was delightful to say the least. I know she woke up every hour Saturday night and eventually just started saying, "Mommy, I peed again", when it was actually poo. Sorry, TMI.

Good morning ladies,

Just checking in. Nothing much really going on with me today. I was in the bed all weekend with a sore throat and sinus infection. I feel a little better now.  I was looking at the news and saw that Jennifer Hudsons nephew may have been found. That really brought tears to my eyes. That is just so sad. I can imagine the pain that they are feeling to loose their mom brother and now nephew/son. (OMG) I have a paper due on macroecomincs today. I only have to write 400 words, (BT, you think you can help a poor soul in need)  ;)  I hope everyone is doing well

Afternoon ladies,

Andrea, if you don't drink much, those two drinks could have made you sick.  When I drank, I used to hate getting sick from too much booze.  Anyway, I don't know that they would have made you drunk.  Maybe just a bit more relaxed.

Jenny, sorry to hear about your daughter's runs.  I hope she's feeling better.  I quit smoking awhile back using Chantix.  I just got tired of paying so much for cigarettes and not being able to breathe (not a good trade-off).  Not everyone can take Chantix though because of the psychological side effects.  I'm on an antidepressant, and I think that keeps me safeguarded.

Keeping, I have no idea about macroeconomics.  I took micro.  Good luck though, I feel for you.  I heard on the t.v. about Hudson's nephew.  I haven't heard anymore since this morning though (of course, I don't have the news channels on right now either).

Nothing going on today.  I'm waiting for a friend of mine to come over and get my car.  I'm going to let her borrow it because she's having hard financial times.  And I'm still driving another friend's Toyota.  If I get another car, I'm just going to let my friend have the car.  Then I won't have to figure out what the hell to do with it.  Other than that, nada.  I hope you ladies have a good day.

BT congrats on the the B+ in Micro!

Queen, glad you're feeling better, you look great in your avitar, GF!

Has Mum ever come back?  Doesn't look like it...  :(

Yeah, I just read about Hudson's nephew being killed too. How can anyone take a life especially that of a child. I really feel for her. My sugar has been been crashing like crazy and I think it's because I haven't been drinking Pepsi for the past few days. Not a good feeling at all so I went out and got a 2 liter. It seems to be the only time it crashes is when I don't drink any.

It's no wonder everyone is getting sick, it's that time of year when the weather changes. It's been raining and snowing off and on. It hasn't been sticking yet but it's suppose to start. Time to get the car road ready. I am dreading it already.

I need to go cook me some dinner, I think I am going to cook some liver. Am noticing that this thread is taking a long time to get to 100 posts. Are we actually running out of things to say? :D

Good evening ladies! I agree with Queen, it certaintly is slowing down but that's ok. Maybe everyone's life is calming down.

Tomorrow is my surgery and I just want to hurry up and get it over with. I just finished typing up my lesson plans for the substitute. I do have kind of a funny story. I told the kids I would be gone for two days. I always try to prepare them and give them a talk about how I expect them to act and so on. Well they asked why I was going to be absent and I told them I was going to have a little surgery. Well one of them asks if I am going to have plastic surgery. Another boy says, that is not a nice question to ask! I told him, No I was not having plastic surgery and did he think I needed it or something. The kids just laughed. What I want to know is how does that kid know about plastic surgery? Funny.

Well that's about all for tonight. Talk to you all later!

Good Morning Ladies,

I have a slipped disk in my back. It hurts so bad. I have never felt anything like this besides labor pains.

The boards are slowing down quite a bit.

Viv- I hope everything goes well with your surgery

Just checking in for a min. Still doped from the shot last night. I will check later.

Hi Everyone!
Trying to catch up with everyone but probably won't remember everything or everyone.

keeping- Sorry to hear about your back, that is worst pain.  AMG stands for aids meds gathering, I think, I didn't want to put it on facebook, just in case :)

BT- Great job on your class grade!!! I knew you could do it.

Viv- Good Luck on your surgery tomorrow!

Queen- YUCK!! You guys are getting snow!  We might get some tonight, it has been pouring here- I am not looking forward to it at all.  I have been watching TV about the Hudson and the tot mom case, such sad stories.

Drag- I hope your day was as beautiful as you wanted!

Moon- Do you guys have a maze at the pumpkin patch?  I went to one around here once, not my idea of fun with 4 small ones and the children of the corn playing in the back of my mind.

I have been running around with my head cut off.  Still not ready for Halloween yet.  So much to do, so little time to do it.  I might be meeting a poz women that moves close to me this week for lunch, hopefully we can align our schedules.  I would really love to have someone here to talk too.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Hey ladies,

Cin, I've been eating soup lately also.

Queen, we had snow stick last night and a bit this morning.  It's so cold out, it's like a shock to the body.

Andrea, good luck with your surgery.  Please let us know how it goes.  I'll be thinking about you.

Keeping, ouch!  What are they going to do about it, besides give you shots?

Snow, I hope you get the chance to meet that other positive woman.  It does help to talk to someone.  I wish there was another positive female here to talk to, but they're all in hiding.  Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I got an "A" in the other class I took (Government).  Tomorrow night starts "Forensic Psychology."

I got my flu and Depo shots today.  I feel alright so far.  I cleaned my apartment yesterday and touched up my roots today.  Sometimes I think about coloring my hair back to its natural color, which I think is light brown.  It's been so long, I'm not really sure.

Also, Sunday marked my 3rd year drug/alcohol-free.  I had forgotten about it; my sister in Arizona reminded me.  That's about all that's been happening for me.  You ladies have a good evening.

Of course there was a maze at the pumpkin patch!  I was bugging Iceman all year long about going to it!  LOL  We got in late and didn't have time to find all of the checkpoints.  I always bring trail mix cause my sugar crashes running around in there for hours!

They have another one near me that you go in at night with a flashlight.  One year I got turned around and stepped out the side of the corn.  There I was, face to face with a barn-full of turkeys looking at me, lol.  :)

I figured since I am up at this ungodly hour, I might as well check in. Went to visit Sexy the other day, no sparks, I think he may just end up being a friend. He has too many hangups with females because he got with some nuts. And frankly, I am getting tired of being compared to them when I am nothing like them. Did start talking to someone online who lives about five hours away from me. So, I guess I'll see how that goes. Maybe I'll call him, Papi... ;)

Yeah, it is really getting nippy out and still raining. Winter is on the way and I freaking hate it. Not much else really going on. My son wrote me today and they still have not sentenced him yet. It seems like our county jail is filling up with kids doing adult crimes. It really is sad.

I guess we all have something occupying out time that is why the thread is moving slow. I take it as a good thing, at least the thread is staying alive.

Good Morning Ladies!  :)

Keeping- Your back sounds painful! How did that happen?

Snow- I know how it is when there is a lot to do. Good luck with the potential pos friend. Sometimes I REALLY wish I had some friends who were in the same position as I am in. Most of the groups are so far away. There is a lot in Los Angeles but that really is not very local for me.  I don't know...

BT- Congratulations on the 3 years! What an accomplishment. Is it still hard? I don't really know much about addiction but I imagine the urge never leaves. Good for you with the A. I am totally interested in your next class, Forensic Psy. I wish I could take it. I just really want to say that you are a special woman and I think about you often. You are so positive and are making the most out of your life. Good for you!

Cindy- I would be the ding-dong that they would have to come searching for in one of those mazes LOL!

Queen- Too bad about Sexy but I see you've got more to occupy your time....go girl.

Well, I had my surgery yesterday and the doctor said everything went well. I woke up with a lot of pain and they gave me something for that. I had A LOT of bleeding for the first couple of hours and had to call the doctor and then everything calmed down. I was just mostly very tired. My voice is all messed up and today my throat hurts but they said that is from the tube they put in my throat. I have today off from school and I am just going to take it easy. I am just dealing with the bleeding. It is like going to be on my period for 3 weeks but like the first day, you know the heaviest. The doctor took a sample of the tissue and sent it to be tested and I should find out next week if they got everything. So I guess we will see...
When I had to fill out the paperwork I had to put down that I had HIV and my mom asked if that has gotten any easier. That was only the second time I've had to put it down and it bothers me. I guess it is just something about putting it in writing...Do any of you have the same feeling? I guess maybe the more time I have the easier it will be...

That's all for now. I am going to rest today and hopefully get some papers graded!

Oh...everyone is talking about it getting cold where they live...well here it is still in the 80's. They say it is the hottest October for us. I am ready for a cool down but I definitely would not enjoy the snow.  :)

Hey ladies,

Queen, it's sad about all the kids doing crimes that only adults used to do.  Last Sunday night the town I live in had 5 shootings in one night with one person killed.  The very next night there was another shooting and that victim is in critical condition.  And the shootings were all done by teens.  It's like they have no regard for life.  I don't know how to ever change that either.

Andrea, thanks for the kind words.  I'm sorry you're going to be bleeding for 3 weeks.  That's gotta majorly suck.  I'm keeping fingers and legs crossed that they got it all.  Be sure to keep us posted.  Oh, about cravings...no, I don't get them.  I just remember the withdrawal and how awful that was.  I don't think I could physically make it through another one (withdrawal).  Truthfully, I think it would kill me.

It's sunny here today, but cold.  It's only 44 out right now, but in a couple days it's supposed to warm up into the 60's.  Yep, winter is on the way, Queen.  I don't like it either.

For Christmas, my sister in Phoenix is flying me out there for a week.  I'm a little nervous; I haven't been on a plane in 16 years.  I'm going to get some Dramamine 'cause I get motion sickness pretty easy.  I hope the airline doesn't lose any of my luggage.  I'll be flying from here (South Bend) to Detroit to Phoenix.  That's the plan for now anyway.

Nothing else going on.  New class tonight, that's about it.  You ladies have a good day.

As for the rest of my GFs, I hope you're all hunkered down and staying warm tonight.  Only a few of us can still enjoy warm weaather.  Brrrrrrr....!

I miss Iceman, he is out of town again tonight and I am still at his place from last Sunday.  I may never return to my own home, lol!   :D

hello there

cindy - its HOT here! last night was terrible, get under the covers and u burn, get out and mosquitos eat u alive, and i have the horrible scars to prove it.  i hav ea mosquito net but sometimes my arms poke out or i get out and forget to tuck myself back in properly or something.

betty - congrats with the A! and the anniversary. three years is a long time, im proud of you.

andrea - im glad the surgery went ok. i hope the results come back ok. i've never had to fill in paperwork that required my HIV status, and im not sure if i would fill it in. but i suppose it gets easier the more u do it, kind of like disclosing to people.

queen - too bad about sexy. guys with hang ups are a bit difficult, all that work trying to prove yourself. need the patience of a saint :) Did u call the new guy yet?

Keeping - sorry about your back, i hope its better now.

i've just found an old high school friend on facebook and im so happy. i was wondering and wondering where she was.  she's still here in zim but in a different city.  facebook can be so depressing for me sometimes when i see how people are all married with kids and living in better countries doing so well for themselves.  feel like a loser sometimes. but hey we cant all have everything.
shyguy came to see me on monday at work, honestly he's asking for it...

Afternoon ladies,

Cin, today it's getting into the low 60's; much different from yesterday when it was in the low 40's.  We had a little snow here Sunday night, of course all melted now.

Tendai, is there no way you can keep the misquitos out of where you live without having to stay inside the netting?  Girl, I swear.  I don't know how you keep your sanity.  About other people being married etc., just because you're not does not make you a loser.  If that were true, then most of us would be losers also.  You have made a career for yourself and you hang tough through everything that happens to you.  You're a winner in my book.

I'm waiting for my therapist to get here, which should happen in about 25 minutes.  I'm running a bit behind.  A friend of mine called this morning and we ended up talking for an hour.  I haven't had time to take a shower yet; oh well.

Last night's class went alright.  The teacher is scattered and she admits it.  She said she teaches 16 classes at four different universities, most of them online.  I have a little bit of homework to do before next week.  Tonight's class is "Human Sexuality."  I've had the teacher before and I really like him.  Other than that, nothing else happening.  You ladies have a good day.

Happy Halloween!  ;D Well today is the day that the kids are absolutely bouncing off the walls. They get so excited! We dress up at school so it is a lot of fun...at least I enjoy it! I'm just glad that tomorrow is Saturday. The day after is when the kids have that sugar low...

Have a good day everyone!

Happy Halloween everyone. It's been about 6 months since I last posted here. I log on a read a post or two occasionally. I'm seeing a lot of new names and I think I name change or two. Maybe some of you remember me.

When I come here and read I know that I should come here more. A little more than a year after diagnosis and I still feel like I don't know enough to get what I'm reading here sometimes. I guess its an ongoing process.

Since I last posted I have started a new job, separated from my husband and started casually seeing a guy from my past. We were always close to disclosure to him was almost easy. I can tell him anything...except how I really feel about him. (Stupid girly feelings) He is totally cool with my diagnosis, very supportive and has went out of his way to learn about HIV. If only life would let us be more than casual. (sigh)

My last test results were upsetting to me. My VL rose and my CD4 dropped to 362. I am all about avoiding meds for as long as possible to I was really bummed. I told myself I would do all I could to hopefully bring my CD4 numbers back up then I came down with something that I am still trying to get over.

Other than being sick and only working part time for now, life is pretty good. I am way less stressed and definitely happier since the separation. IMO that's a big step.

Hope all are well. I saw that many had been coming down with colds. Congrats to Drag on the wedding and Cindy I was so happy to see the Iceman still in your posts.

Have a great day everyone.

Hey ladies,

Cin, have fun cuddling with Ice.

Andrea, any pics of you in your costume?

Confused, if you had your labs done when you were ill, then I wouldn't be real overly concerned about your numbers.  Give it another lab or two to see if there's a trend, or if it improves.  The T's might bounce back and the viral load go back down when you're well.  I'm glad your life seems more calm.

I went out to eat with a friend of mine this evening.  And this afternoon I got all my homework done for my two classes.  Tomorrow night NA is having a chili supper, speaker and a dance.  I probably won't stay for the dance, but a friend of mine is speaking, so I want to hear that.  She's got like 16 or 17 years clean.  Nothing else.  Have a good night.

Some will want to put it off because its a change in lifestyle. Remembering to take meds ect. Taking the pills makes having HIV more real. Others may be concerned with the toxicity of the meds.
For some it could be a financial burden. I'm sure there are a million answers to the question.

Hey ladies,

Damn, where is everyone at?

Andrea, Wendy answered the question pretty good.  There's lots of reasons people don't want to start.

Wendy, how are you doing?  What's up in your world?

I went to the Goodwill today 'cause it is 50% off day.  I got three shirts.  Now I have an hour to kill before I go to the NA thing.  I'm loaning a friend of mine (the girl who's speaking) my car, since I'm driving my friend's Toyota.  The girl I'm loaning the car to has had some financial trouble and her car got repossessed.  I told her as long as she pays for the insurance, she can use it.  If I get another car at the end of this month, I'm just going to let her have it.  It saves me the trouble of trying to figure out what to do with it.

Nothing else to report.  You ladies have a good evening.

I don't know where everyone is but I sure miss you all!

BT- It seems like it is just you and me!  :) I would post a picture of me in my costume but I am just too fat. I have been on Nutri System and lost about 15 lbs and then stopped. I know I have to exercise but I just don't want to.

Wendy- Nice to hear from you. I hope everything is ok.

Well this weekend I did absolutely NOTHING! All I wanted to do was lay around. I did my laundry and just barely did my lesson plans. This week is 5th grades week to have them checked and I just don't care. I still have a little cough and now I am sore from the coughing. I just can't get it out. I have constant wheezing...another trip to the doctor  :( I am so ready for vacation!

Have a good night!

Hi!!!! I thought I'd just drop in really quick.  I hope I will have time to respond to everyone this evening.  Things have been really busy on my end.  I went by my doc today.  I decided to start treatment early.  I decided to go with an Isentress/Truvada combo.  The only thing that worries me with that one is that it is so new that they don't know whether it causes birth defects or not.  I figured that since children are at least several months off, I'd get started on them now and wait for some more info on it.  It seems like a great combo.

I'm worried because my SO is really slowing around about getting tested. He knows he has to get tested, but is still nervous about it.   He wants to use a home kit rather than go into the doctor's office or go through some anonymous testing.  He ordered a kit online, but it hasn't arrived yet.  Not knowing is really killing me.  My doc told me it is harder for a man to get it from a woman, so I am hopeful he is negative.  Still, if it were me, I would want to know right away instead of being in this terrible limbo state!  He says that "in his mind" he believes he is positive, but yet and still he is not doing anything about it.  He is talking about which doctor he wants to go to if he's positive, so I'm hoping he just needs a little time.

In happier news, I will be moving in with him in December, so hopefully when I am there full time it will be easier to nag him about it if he hasn't done anything about it yet.

Nothing new with me. I went to a Halloween party the day after Halloween at a girlfriends house. I was a kitty cat. I got the tshirt half price for 5 bucks because it was the day after Halloween. Likely the most comfortable costume I've ever worn and it was not reveling either. Seems like all the cute costumes now adays are too trampy for me.

Hey everyone-
BT- Last time I posted I meant to congratulate you on your time sober, that must feel really good!  That is so nice of you to give your friend your car.

Confused- I went to my doc last week and got my latest labs.  He told me that your numbers can vary alot by what time you get your blood drawn, early morning vs. afternoon,  if you have been sick, sleeping well, stressed, many things can affect them so try not to get too worried.

Win- Cute pic!  We went trick or treating Friday and my oldest wore a creepy mask, the younger boys were a pirate and a vampire and my daughter was Snow White.  I dressed as a witch and was supposed to carry an apple to give to my daughter but I forgot it at home.  The cost of the costumes is gettting crazy and they are made out of crap.  How have you been feeling?

Sweet C- That will be nice to move and have a change of scenery, re-decorating always makes me feel better.  I can't say anything about your SO cuz it took me 3 years to finally get tested.

Viv- You really do need a vacation and you need to make sure you do something for yourself.  I hate to hear that you are still not feeling well.

Tendai- You are far from being a loser!  You are one of the strongest people I know.  You are a beautiful person inside and out and have a wonderful sense of humor and outlook on life.  Trust me, that things are not always what they seem.  People can have everything in the world and still be miserable.

Keeping- How are things going with you?

Hi Queen!

Has anyone heard from Drag or Mum?

Wow- I am watching Intervention and this women is bulimic and a dancer.  A person of her height and weight should eat around 2500 calories a day and she only eats 150.  That is scary!  I have been kind of blah lately, just trying to get by.  I haven't found where my sons father is living so I haven't been able to have the sheriffs office serve him papers yet.  I know he is in a sober living place but I doubt they would give me any information if I called around to all the houses in the town he is in?  I am glad we finally get to vote here in Mass tomorrow.  I feel so bad that Obama's gramma passed before she found out if he won or not ,but I am sure she will be there for him in spirit.

I hope everyone is well!

I feel mostly ok. Thank you for asking. I have a little of the post nasal drip cough sometimes but its nothing really. Most of the time my nose is clear. I've noticed when I wear makeup it acts up more. I assume the powder is the culprit. Again, not a big deal.
Billy is having surgery on his sholder in the morning. Hopefully that will fix his troubles enough to make day to day living less painful. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Have a lovely night.

It sure is nice to hear from everyone!

I went to the doctor today about my lingering cough. I told him about the pain and he had me stand up while he put his hand under my boob (where it hurt) and the other on my back. He told me to breathe in and then he applied pressure.... :o Let me just say, it REALLY hurt then. I couldn't even continue the deep breath. He said that I definitely strained that area in between the ribs. He suggested wrapping the area with an ace bandage...yeah, right. He also said there is still wheezing and he gave me another antibiotic and a expectorant. Hopefully I can get everything out so I don't have to cough anymore. It just hurts everytime. I guess I'll just wait and see...

I hope everyone remembers to go and vote tomorrow! No matter what opinions we have they need to be heard. The kids are going to vote tomorrow at school. Of course the only ones who can are the ones who registered...LOL!

Wendy-Cute picture!

Snow- I hope you can get things worked out and don't have to worry anymore about your ex

Tendai- I was just curious what made people not want to take meds. I really wasn't presented with much of a choice. It was either live or die. I do know about the potential side effects in regards to the liver but it seems really small compared to the latter.

Anyways...I've had a long day and I am ready to go to bed. Have a good day tomorrow!!!

Hey ladies,

Andrea, I sure hope you get better soon.  You should take a few days off and rest up.

Sweet C, congrats on the move.

Wendy, I love your costume.  That is so cute.  I'll be thinking of Billy tomorrow morning and hoping all is going well.

Snow, you're right; the house he's staying at wouldn't tell you anything.  I wish you could find out so the sherrif can give him those papers.  It sounds like your kids had a nice time trick-or-treating.

I voted today.  Here in Hoosierville (Indiana) they had early voting.  I was in line for 3 hours.  But it was worth it, I'm all done with it.  I'm so tired of the political ads on t.v. I could scream.  Not just the presidential ones, the local ones as well.  Eek.

Yesterday myself and two of my girlfriends went to see "Brahm Stoker's Dracula."  It was a play at the Civic Theater in my town.  The actors and actresses did an excellent job.  There were no children allowed.  It was very convincing (the fake blood and all).  I loved the movie; in fact, I own it.  Anyway, it was a pretty nice day.

Today I just paid bills and did laundry, besides the voting.  I'm pretty tired and am going to read and crash.  I hope you ladies are having a good evening.

snow -thanks for the kind words. i hope SB doesnt give u any trouble..

betty - u asked about mosquitoes once and i wanted to say u should come into our bathroom at any given time.  place be buzzing with mosquitoes all the time.  funny thing is they dont bite me while im bathing, guess they're gentlemen, and theres no way to get rid of them coz the door leaves a gap of about 10cm from the top and from the bottom so if u sprayed anything it wouldnt be that effective. guess we've learned to coexist with them. right now im more afraid of catching cholera than malaria. can u believe this guy who put poison in someones borehole coz they wouldnt give him water.  about 15 people died including members of the borehole family and innocent neighbours who had bought water from them. yes people are selling borehole water to their neighbours coz of the shortage of water. fortunately where we stay we still have water so the mosquitoes are just a minor inconvenience compared to the risk of catching cholera like in some other areas.

sweet c - congrats on the move. i hope your man gets the nerve to get tested soon. anticipation can be worse than the actual thing sometimes.

wendy - u look cute in the picture.  i hope Billy's surgery goes well.

i hate the time difference its 3.30pm here and america hasnt voted yet. we have to wait till 6am tomorrow to get real results.  i'm hoping and praying Obama wins. the dawn of a new era. i wonder if he realises just hot that seat is going to be when he gets it. i hope he wont disappoint.

Hey ladies,

Tendai, what is a borehole?  I guess I sound pretty ignorant.  I've just never heard of it.  I'm sorry the misquitos are the problem they are in your part of the country.  Have you been vaccinated against malaria?

Wendy, please let us know how Billy's surgery goes.

Nothing to report, really.  I did my shopping today. I went by the place I usually vote to see if there was a line, and there wasn't.  So I probably should have waited until today to vote instead of standing in line for 3 hours yesterday.  Oh well.  I'll have MSNBC most of the day, and all night until a winner is declared.  Lord, let it be Obama.  If McCain wins, I just fear what will happen to those of us with chronic diseases and those of us on social security.  Anyway, you ladies have a good day.

betty - im sure theres another word for the borehole but i cant think of it. its a hole in the ground where people extract fresh water. using either a pump or plain old buckets. and no u dont sound ignorant at all. i havent been vacinated against malaria, never even thought of it. i doubt if the hospitals have any and if they do its probably unaffordable.

and OBAMA WON!!!! WOO HOOO!!! I bet u're thrilled to bits. History is in the making. This is so awsome! (doing a happy dance)

Afternoon ladies,

All I can say is that for the first time in quite awhile, with all honesty I am proud to be an American through and through.  Even the state I live in, Indiana, who has not voted Democratic in 44 years, turned blue.  The waiting I did for 3 hours Monday for our early voting paid off.  I stayed up until way after midnight.  When President-elect Obama gave his victory speech, I couldn't stop crying.

It's a beautiful thing.  I hope you ladies have a good evening.

Billy's surgery went well. They removed the bone spurs in his shoulder and some calcium deposits on tendons and resurfaced an area that was arthretic.
He is in pain of course but we have pain medication that helps a little and his shoulder is swollen and he has 4 holes with one stitch in each. We went to the post OP appointment today and they removed the bandage so we where able to see the damage and clean him more properly this evening.
I got the doctor to prescribe him a sleeping pill because he did not sleep at all last night. I showered him half an hour ago and put clean bandaids on him and put him in bed. I have not heard a peep out of him yet so hopefully the sleeping pill works.

Wendy- I think I have missed something. What happened to Billy? How have you been feeling? Did all that stomach pain ever go away?

Nothing much going on here. I had a late training and Friday I have a parent conference with one of my kids who just is not turning in his homework. There are a lot of them this year. I just found out that I have report cards due in a couple of weeks so of course the stress meter has started to go up...oh it is never ending...LOL!

Have a good night everyone!  :)

Tendai- The cough is still here. I just can't get rid of it. The new president does not start until the new year begins. Right now he is the "President Elect". Each president's term is 4 year physical years.

I am SOOOOO tired! I am thrilled that we get Monday and  Tuesday off from school next week. I need those extra days of rest!

Have a great day ladies!

Hey ladies,

Andrea, take a deep breath (hee).  I hope you get plenty of r&r on your two days off.

Wendy, I'm glad Billy's surgery went well.  I hope he has an easy time with the healing.

Tendai, I hope you find some good mischief to get into.  I would try myself, but I always seem to get caught. ;)

I'm just waiting for my therapist to get here.  I was reading an article this morning that Palin didn't know Africa was a continent.  Geesh.  Thanks heavens her and the "other one" didn't get elected.

Last night's class (Forensic Psych) was alright.  The teacher has ADHD.  Yes, she told us all she did, which came as no surprise.  She's all over the place when teaching, but it's still a good class.  I think one of the reasons she's scattered is because she's teaching 16 classes at 4 different universities.  Craziness.  I have class tonight (Human Sexuality).  Hopefully that will go smoothly.  You ladies have a good day.

Andrea - The surgery was for normal wear and tear and maybe predisposition for shoulder problems and things he has done or happened to him in his life. The calcium deposits on his tendons could be related to HIV meds but most likely its primarily just from life stuff.
He talks in his sleep sometimes but with the sleeping pill my goodness he was chatty mc chat chat last night. It was almost comical.
