I actually had a friend in that softball league and he mentioned that rule and my major question was...who verifies?

According to the article:

Quote
Each of the three plaintiffs was called into a conference room in front of more than 25 people, and was asked "personal and intrusive questions" about his sexual attractions and desires, purportedly to determine if the player was heterosexual or gay, the lawsuit alleges.

Seems like quite the bit of bother, heh?

In the end the tribunal found the men "nongay" and had them pressed under rocks like Giles Corey stripped their team of their second-place position and recommended a one year ban for all three men. So now they're suing for emotional distress money and a change in the rules. Goodness gracious what a mess. So, Bisexual Softball Players: Not Gay Enough (for gay softball).

Oh I wanna be on that Tribunal. But it should be renamed "The Court of Petty Vengeances".

I fancy myself as Deputy Presiding Officer.

No wait, make that Senior Deputy Presiding Officer. :)

I have no doubt that you'd provide a unique service in separating the pseudos from the fully-formed fagalahs, darling. You should forward them your CV.

maybe not. not if the 3 were ringers. ;) Can't find enough queers that can play decent ball? then go grab some primo straight/bi players to add to your "gay" team's roster.

Rhetorically, since this was a rule to ensure a "gay" league, how many straights should/could be allowed and it still be a "gay" league? What if none of the players were actually gay? Would it still be a "gay" team in a "gay" league?

That's kind of the point, So I'm sure this team thought they would just flaunt the lines and not be caught.  Either this is someone catching them or someone being bitchy.  However, 3 bisexuals? My ass.

The only men I ever seem to end up in bed with are bisexuals (gays presumably having better taste than to sleep with moi) and almost all of 'em to a man are insatiable bottoms.

If taking it up the poop chute for hours on end doesn't qualify a fella for membership of some fag baseball team I dunno what does.

Maybe being married to LIza?

really? you got a link for that? I only find questions about it. I would really like to know that it's true, but George Stephanopoulos is going to be heartbroken that I have a new Monkey Boy.

He does guys.  I don't know if he is going to come out as "gay" but I know guys who have slept with him.

I feel like this "big" coming out is going to be some C lister. Bravo to whomever, but anti-climatic for us.

If it's a B or A-Lister it would be nice if its a surprise and not one of the usual suspects - Jakey, Wentworth, Vin D

If I were an up and coming Hollywood Actor, or a star starting to earn millions, I would take Jodie Foster as an example and just say its no one's business as she did for many years.  Even get married!  If Jake Gyllenhaal came out now, I think he'd lose millions and many interesting roles, just as Rupert Everett has warned.

Of course Zachary Quinto played Tori Spelling's gay BFF in her short lived series So NoTorious. Did anyone else watch it?... Anyone?

I think this article just might be the first verifiable instance of "apple-cheeked" and "pornography actor" being used in the same sentence.

But seriously, what sort of brouhaha did the administration anticipate?  I thought that was the campus of closeted homosexuality and lots of cocaine... that whole Yale thing.

Well he's definitely wholesome looking and yet if you've seen his films, he's thoroughly delightfully degenerate and transgressive.
They feared the moralistic left.   Politically correct still holds sway over the Ivy League. Sadly 25% of the campuses have a population of rigid PC'ers with no sense of humour.  50% are left and cynical or politically passive, and 25% center-right.
