The MIA List
« on: March 24, 2007, 08:59:17 pm »
I may have missed some info about these folks because I had to be absent some here myself, but...

Where is Win (poet) ?  Started a few insightful threads on here- the Meds Cliff was last, I think.  Today?

Whatever became of ChrisNArizona?  Last seen (way back when) tramping around the Porn thread.  Now?

And Southernguy76?  Last known to be starting Atripla and getting used to that.

For that matter, I haven't seen Ann on here much lately.  Anybody know about her moving situation and stuff?

Who else is absentee?  Where are these folks and what's going on with them?  Anybody know?

Jeromy buzzed through to respond to a Where Is Jeromy? thread and buzzed off again.

I should e-mail him  ;)

FYI, Ann is likely to be back in action very shortly. She's been involved with the challenges of moving to another house on The Rock.

I'm sorta back - still moving but getting there slowly. Had a screw-up with my internet connection for a few days as well, which hasn't helped. I'll be updating my blog very soon, as time and patience allows. I've got a lot to catch up on!

i'm serious about OH501sguy, though.

And I'm STILL wondering what's up with Win / poet .

He hasn't been around in ages that I know of

I knew lydgate and razorbill took off when CSI came around.  Wondered if the same was true of 501.

And yes, I also miss hearing from Tigger.  Hope she comes back around pretty soon.

It's really strange that i should see this thread tonight.....this afternoon I was just going thru my Favorites list, tidying things up.

Happened to see a link to this Frappr site "the AM Family" that I put my mark on,  soon after I came upon this Forum around a year ago.

There are many folks I don't see around here anymore....one in particular makes me terribly sad.....Webbie in Mexico.  :(

Razorbill's doing well.  He left, with a few others, when the CSI thing was starting up.  I  miss his and Lydgate's posts.  Yesterday, I was wondering about the female police officer... blue something is her user name.  I don't think she's posted in ages.  I haven't seen dtwpuck or Longislander post lately either, but I did receive a PM from LI a while back.

Hey Alan, I don't know if you ment me when you said Wendy. But just in case it is me, i am fine have been on here almost everyday. Some times i do not sign in. I did leave during the CSI stuff because of not feeling to protected. I am back now and i too have noticed that a lot of people that where here when i became a member are not here now. I miss them, but i have found some of them on other sites. I almost left this site because of the fighting, and because for awhile it seemed that the only ones that were welcomed on here where people that are gay. I have nothing against any one no matter their sex or nationality but it felt like if you weren't gay then you were not wanted on here. I see now that i was wrong and i plan on staying on here for a very, very long time. I love this site and most of the people on this site.

Love, Wendy

Brian, (Quarterhorse) is in LOVE! and indeed has moved, has a new phone number, new e-mail address and is just as dizzy as ever.  He called me one day to catch up, and was going to send me his new information, but we were interrupted while he was at work, and he has obviously forgotten about his promise as of yet.  I still expect to hear from him soon, so I will let you all know when that happens.  He still lives in Tenn.

Love,
The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals,
and 362 to heterosexuals.
This doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals,
It's just that they need more supervision.

Love,

I don't really know Quarterhorse, but I still think that is the coolest news!  I'm glad I dug this thread back up.  It seems to have gotten a lot of play in the last few days.  I especially thank John Oso for the photo link.

I was wondering about Skeebo myself, but I have noticed that LongIslander has been around lately...just fyi.

Thanks Moff, glad to know Brian is doing well, and I'm so happy for him.

Hey Wendy, yes I meant you honey!   Didn't realize you had been on, I guess I just hadn't seen you in awhile; anyway, glad you are still with us!   You know you're one of my favorite people here.

Thanks for the note about Ernie, David - I hope he had a great birthday!

Matt, of COURSE I know you are Cubbybear, I just still have you on the birthday list as Matt (Archon/Cubbybear)......how could I ever forget you???

Hope we here from Skeebo (who I still refer to as Sad Tom) soon....

hugs,
Alan (who still tries to juggle three names for some folks:  real name, OLD forum name, NEW forum name!)

Surely can, Javier!  Although I must say the Porn thread at last has cooled down a good bit.

But after nearly half a year, it should um....come as no suprise.

We should all be pretty sore and spent by now!   ;D

Where is the Newnick?

Absolutely. I don't think I've seen the Newnick post in the life of these new forums. Matty the Damned is seriously hanging out for one of Nicksters tales.

I'm really busy at work. I still read the forums.

Funny you should ask Queen, I just heard from Skeebo on YIM a few minutes ago. He's got some news he wants to share with the forum - I'm waiting for an email from him with the details, which I'll post.

Ann

Hey, I seem to keep missing him and I have YIM. I hope things is going well with him and I hope his news is good news. Last I remember he had a few issues too he was trying to deal with.

Bumping this because we still have some MIA's.  Several of them.

jo / tigger

craig / mrtallguy (who i've tried to reach via personal email with no luck either).  no word since early november.

win / poet (who i haven't heard from in ages...not since this thread was last up.)  anyone know?

there are others, too...they just escape me at the moment.

was gonna put sdgirl up a few weeks ago, but she came out of the shadows with a blog and a PM.

speaking of lisas, has sweetweasel lisa been on lately?  if so, i have missed her.

(paging jerry to the white courtesy phone).

who else?

A few days ago I was wondering where our very own Tim Hunter was, but then he was back.  How about SAE, kypozguy (Marc), ACinKC, among others?  There are a lot more that I've PM'ed with in years back (it seems so strange to say 'years back', but it is going on two years since my HIV diagnosis and joining AM) but haven't heard from in ages.  I always wonder what's happened to people I've known, not just through here, but at various jobs, socially, schools, etc.  I hope they're all doing ok.

Moi?   :-*

AC sent me a PM when he darted in awhile back.  Apparently conquering the corporate world and loving it. Seems he's found a niche that makes full use of his sensibilities.   ;)

I know it hasn't been that long, but I'm eager to hear more from Mike (tnboy) very soon.  I hate the lulls in between posts from that one.

And I touched base with Spud today after a great long while.  Not that he was missing, but we hadn't chatted in awhile so I am all happy about that.

Would seriously like to know what the word on JK is right now as well.  (Paging melia to the white courtesy phone).

Need to check up on JR (sweetprince) as well.  He may have been on recently and I haven't seen.

Has RAB been on here lately?

RAB not on since November 10th.  Anyone know?

EDIT:  JR / sweetprince....November 18th.   The word?

What is it with early November?  Lots of folks ducked out right then.  I mean, yeah...the holidays, but heck.

I do worry about Bucko/Brent.  He's not returned my last call.  Anyone at all been in contact with him.

I need to call Miss Banned Boo Radley -- last spoke to him at Thanksgiving.  I do love him so.

Last known word from Nancy was just after  the SD fires, and she was well...correct?

And Scooter I do not know, but it seems to me that I recall this member being credited with unofficially creating the AMG thing via a "what if we...?" type post about such a gathering.  Is that so?

PS:  Rod, thanks for word on Rocky.

We seem to be missing a bunch of our NC folks.  There's Amosboy (Brooks) and a couple of guys from the western part of the state and one or two from around Charlotte.  I sure haven't seen Whizzer in ages, either.  Although not from NC, what ever happened to lydgate (Jay)?  I do wonder about people when they just seem to disappear.

Tim, sweetie....so nice of you to bump this and keep those "missing" in our thoughts.

I've communicated with RAB recently, he is o.k.   I sure miss Bucko; I'm sure Matty knows how he is doing, hope he is well....

I got a lovely Christmas card from Jonathan.   I miss him so much in the forums.

When I scan back over my birthday lists from previous years, it is sad to see how many have "dropped out" of sight.....but we have new ones constantly coming in as well.   I think our most popular "newcomer" lately is Mini and her Mom!  So glad they are with us.

Lisa (sweetieweasel) I hope you are o.k. honey....and Lis, she rarely posts anymore....I did receive a call from her during the holidays.

Love to all who are "missing in action".....you may be gone, but you are definitely not forgotten!

Alan

PS - a recent "comeback" was made by Lonewolf (Bruce)   glad to see him back with us!

A week is enough time to go to an internet cafe and send SOMEONE something saying "Don't worry"

Hence, I'm a bit worried.  But I guess I shouldn't be.  Benj disappeared from here due to a computer issue, though you'd think by now he's have sorted that out.  Anyone here heard from him?  I think I learned of the computer thing from Boodles.

Ugh... MUST CALL BOODLES.  Speaking of, even though he's copiously banned, he's not returned my last email for a week.  Even more unusual considering the juicy gossip that was contained it.  Oh wait, didn't you talk to him Tim?

I talked to Boodles about two weeks ago now.  He's fine, and I wouldn't get too worried about it taking a week or two for him to get around to a reply.  Maybe longer.  He can get a little, um...delayed sometimes.

Cindy (moonlight) called Queen's cellphone number and it rang and then there was a busy signal, like they do when they've been cut off  (the phone).  As far as going to a cybercafe, I know Queen has to take the bus where she goes and she loathes that because of her hearing loss, not being able to judge traffic etc.  So, that's the update on Queen.

Queen refused to get on the bus to go have her hearing aids checked, when she had one working, and from what I recall, I think both had stopped working.  So, no she won't get ona  bus to go to the library to even sign on for us peeps, lol.

Hello To ALL YOU SEXY BITCHES-----

Her Majesty is back!!!! I really do appreciate all the love and concern for me. It has touched me very deeply. To answer some of the questions I have seen thus far. Where have I been? In the hospital, I checked myself in for depression. I won't go into the gory details of what took place. I was there for about a week. I didn't have access to my computer of course and I had to shut my phone off. As for the deal with my hearing aid, well, I have one back, the left one and it is under a new warranty. My son took me there to get it and I took my other one in then. I am waiting for it to be repaired. I will go into more details about my feelings on things in my blog. But I just want to thank everyone for their concern about me. *Smooches to the ladies and a BIG GROPE to the fellas*

Wondered that myself just recently.  The resurgence of this thread has made me stop and take extra notice of who is and isn't around.

****My big personal alerts right now are Bucko and Craig (MrTallGuy).  I have left emails for Craig, but have yet to get a response.  I don't think he has been on here since about mid November.  If anyone has any additional info, I'd love to know.

Brooks' return was short & sweet.  Here's another blast from the past:  ChrisNArizona.  *Poof!*  ...vanished.

Ford? (GSOGymrat)

I'm back. I've been overwhelmed by work and such. My partner is having his 11th chemotherapy tomorrow. Only one more to go after that! We are optimistic his scans will reveal he has beat this thing. He is very sick of feeling sick.

I was working my full-time job plus a part-time job. Then my supervisor's 19-year-old daughter was killed in an auto accident and I was asked to take over her responsibilities. I really didn't want to do it but could not say no to someone whose daughter just died, especially since I'm the only one who knows how to do her job. So now I'm doing my counseling job, her management job and my part-time job with the county. I'm working 7 days a week and trying to support my partner. I have no time to exercise. I'm very stressed out and feel I'm doing nothing well. The light at the end of the tunnel is in sight though. My partner should finish his chemo in 3 weeks and my supervisor should return to work in a couple of months.

Sorry to hear that so much has been going on and my best wishes that your partner has indeed beaten it.

Regardless, Please force yourself to steal sometime for yourself somewhere (though I admit I have no idea where that will come from)

All my best.

Sorry I missed your post until now. I got an e-mail from Woods two weeks ago. He's doing very well. He's going to be participating in the SF to LA AIDS Life Cycle Bike Ride from June 1 to June 7. He's going to be a "roadie," which means he'll be part of the support team for the riders. He'll be in San Francisco at the end of March for a training session, and we're planning to get together.

Where's Patrick (ImagineFL)?

Where's SF Scruff?  ???

I still check in occasionally!  I have been so busy lately with school, work and starting my new business up.

I was engaged for about a month too Lee... then I broke it off because it wasn't fair to him when I still have so many feelings about Tony.  I explained this to him and told him that I needed time.

Tony is still in rehab up in New York, and can't take phone calls, but I hope he gets out in a week or two.  Now I just need to convince him to move back to Florida.   :-\

My new business is going pretty well.  I am trying to borrow money from individual capital investors to raise money for advertising.  The best thing of this whole venture is that I have been giving 25% of the profits to charities (America's Second Harvest Food Bank, St. Jude's, Tampa AIDS Network, etc).

I'll try to behave better and visit more often...

Love you all!

I was thinking about a bunch of folks from years gone by here recently and hope they are all doing well...Thankfully Mike (et in arcadia ego) posted recently so it was good to see that...I still hope to make it up to Saratoga, NY one summer.

On our first AMG in Toronto I roomed with richfkc...I hope he is OK...And I'm sorry we don't hear anymore from most of our Canadian friends, Alan (doyourowndamndishes), Gregory Scott (I really cared for him and hope he is just busy and doing well)...We never hear from SAE or consumed and even  Canuck (Claude) rarely posts.

I know there were some problems here with Elizabeth (we hung out alot together in Nashville, I forget her handle here) but hopefully she is OK.

I don't get over to the blogs too often- I'm busy with work, weekends recovering from the job and the subways and trying to get to the gym and see friends from the neighborhood (Joe -not San Fran Joe- and Frank) and my mom and step-dad are really getting on in years as I found this past weekend on a visit and elder care will likely take up more and more of my time but I hope Jonathan is doing well down in Atlanta.  Haven't seen Lis or even Lisa post much recently, hope their health is holding up.

John (KC) and Trish- hope you guys are well and even though they are no longer members I do hope dear Moffie (Tim) and Bailey (dingo) are well.  I saw some posts recently from Joe Killfoile, that was good to see, hope he and Stephen are loving Montreal.  I also hope Brent (Bucko) is happy and healthy.

Also there is Steven (our nutrition and vitamin guy) who never posts anymore unless I missed something.  There are others from earlier years I'm sure I left out but I can't quite recall now.  A once excellent memory is still decent but not what it was.

And does anyone recall Mark (Marcus Maximus) - he was in Toronto with us and I believe he lived in Arizona.  He hasn't posted in several years...And Brian's friend Glenda in Tennessee- remember her great laugh?

But I do hope they are all well and happy!!!

Jodala,

I can tell you that Daddy Tim (Moffie) and Bucko are still in circulation and doing well. Timmy is as belligerent and cantankerous as he's ever been. The cranky old sod will bury us all.

From time to time I hear from Et In Arcadia Ego (Mike) -- he's still the absolute gentleman, dedicated Wobbly and all round good egg he's always been.

Occasionally I have the pleasure to hear from Jonathan. He's doing as well as can be expected.

I can report that Zephyr (Loreen) is doing well. I'm in fairly regular communication with her.

She has recently made a move back up to northern Calif. where she continues with her advocacy work. She also still participates in several LTNP and HIV Controller studies. She most recently has posted in the Research section.
