GTU technology is applicable to DNA vaccination, and immuno- and gene therapies for modulation of the immune system via antigens or cytokines – and can be used in the treatment of infectious diseases, cancer, and autoimmune diseases.

The technology can also be employed to express specific genes to correct a genetic defect, which can be useful in the therapy of diseases caused by mutations in a single gene.

FIT Biotech has developed a strong product pipeline, covering a therapeutic HIV vaccine and a preventive HIV vaccine, as well as vaccines for seasonal and pandemic flu, melanoma, diabetes, and hepatitis C.

The innovative approach embraced by FIT Biotech for developing seasonal and pandemic flu vaccines has the potential to circumvent cell culture-based technologies.

The company's HIV vaccine programme has already progressed to the Phase II A stage, which is currently being conducted at the Perinatal HIV Research Unit in Soweto near Johannesburg with treatment-naïve, HIV-infected individuals.

Never mind I got it, http://www.fitbiotech.com/ (duuuuhhhh).

Looks good, wonder why this has not been disseminated more widely. In any case, yet another reason to feel good about the future. Not sure if this could result in complete clearing of the virus, but at least, if it works, could make hiv infection a permanently latent (non progressive) infection.
