Lost Intrest
« on: December 03, 2007, 12:59:22 am »
I have stayed away from the site for sometime here lately and have not posted like I had done in the past. Just really don't have anything going on in my life at the present. I feel as though each day is getting worse. I spend most of my time here lately over on Facebook or playing games on POGO. Same old thing everyday just getting tired of sitting around must be the winter time blues.

Yeah, it's winter time here also.  I try to do something each day just to get me out of my place, even if it's just going to the library (doesn't cost anything).  But it's hard for me to stay motivated with it getting dark so early!  I feel ya.

Yep.  Been there and actually visit it with frequency at times.

The key is that you recognized it and know already by your own paost somethings that are feeding it.  Whenever I feel that way I notice I spend a lot more time on the web doing just time-killing stuff.  Not offering an answer but suggest you stay out of facebook and the games for a little and go outside and do something a little more.

BTW - no judgments in what I wrote - just a suggestion based off of what helps me when I feel like this.

Jerry, do you have any hobbies or activities (besides using the computer!  ;) ) that can serve as a distraction?  I've found, for me, that staying busy really helps keep me upbeat and cheerful.  I can think of times where I really didn't have anything I wanted to do.  Those times were the worst for me in terms of approaching becoming depressed or just feeling blah.  Having said that, winter sucks for me.  I think that I must have Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) pretty bad.  It's often cold enough in the winter and hot enough in the summer that I can't do much outside.  Even just getting outside and taking a walk helps.  I imagine that as people become more sedentary in their lives - I'm not pointing fingers at you but recognizing this in me - this will get worse.  I'm not sure if this is what's bothering you, but it could be.

Winter time is when we snuggle up and sleep late and make big pots of soup.  Well I wish.  Dont beat yourself up.  We all do that too much.

Sorry you have been feeling bummed... :-* I don't get the winter blues. I actually take this time of year to hibernate like the bears do. I go out when I need to. I usually try to find things to do around the house that I put off doing during the summer months when I am more active. I hope you feel better soon... :-*
