Title: My skin is crawling!!!!
Post by: RiverJay on November 26, 2013, 10:32:06 am
I just got diagnosed on saturday. Yesterday I woke up with a rash on my back, at first it just felt like dry, itchy skin. Then, over the course of the day, it spread and got worse. I was up all night squirming and going crazy trying not to scratch. Now my entire body is covered in a leopard print rash, i can barely stand it. i'm so itchy. I don't know if that's normal. I don't know what to expect. This really sucks!

Hello! Welcome to the forum. I am sorry you found yourself in need of this support forum but I am glad you found us.

I am not sure at ALL what to make of your rash. Have you talked to your doctor?

You say you were diagnosed on Saturday. Have you done a confirmatory Western Blot test? Do you have a doctor? Have you had your blood drawn to get your numbers?

Sorry there are so many questions, and sorry about your rash. It sounds awful, and I hope you get to the bottom of it.

Hi River and welcome. Lots of great people here with knowledge, experience, and compassion.

Not sure what to attribute to your rash. Others here may have a better guess. We're not docs but shared experiences are helpful at times.

Since I just broke out in a full body rash myself 2 weeks ago I was wondering if you have taken any new medications, eaten anything out of the ordinary, etc. to at least rule out an allergic reaction? That's what I'm dealing with.

I would see a doctor in any case.

ps- Happy Thanksgiving. Hope to hear more from you.
