FDA CORE food safety recalls

This link made its way around work today. It's for the FDA's Coordinated Outbreak Response and Evaluation. Essentially they investigate contaminated foods and list products that have been recalled. Currently they are tracking two, salmonella in peanut butter and listeria in ricotta cheese. Specifics are on the website. I wouldn't think that HIV would make us more likely to get sick but it might make us sicker if we do get bad food.

Update: Actually there are 11 they are working on. The two I mentioned are recent and on the front page.

Update 2: I need to explore the whole site before posting. That was 11 PAGES of recalls about 110 total.

I only use peanut butter for mouse traps.

ps: ricotta is a dairy product, but not technically a cheese :) I don't eat it either so I suppose I'm a clean teen this week.
