Thank you guys for all of your help in providing accurate information and calming anxiety.

I've read through the forums but didn't come across this specific question so I apologize for any unintentional redundancy.

I recently had a threesome with two other guys. They performed oral on each other and on me. Is there any risk of precum being in the mouth of one or both of the guys and this posing any sort of hiv risk.

Once again I seriously appreciate any help that anyone with knowledge on this can provide.

God bless and thank you.

Receiving oral sex is one of the most common of sexual activities. In the entire history of the HIV epidemic there has never been even one confirmed case of transmission to a guy through his having received oral sex. Not one.

It's safe to say you will not make history by becoming the first.

The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as you properly and consistently use condoms for those activities you will be well protected.

This time there is no cause for concern about HIV nor any need for HIV testing. On with your life!

Wonderful! Thank you so much Andy. Just a brief follow up. The fact that there were two guys doesnt change anything? Is there a risk at all if any semen or precum was in the mouth of one of the guys performing oral sex?

I can't tell you how eager I am to move on with my life!

No, no risk. HIV is  a fragile virus and it is not transmited orally. Period.

Let it go and get on with your life. Really.

Hello everyone and thanks in advance for any help. I've asked a similar question before and hope that it's only rooted in anxiety. Since my last test I've ONLY received oral sex from men. Two of those occasions were threesomes. The wonderful Andy Velez informed me that this is still not a risk. But I just want to make sure that there is no risk. Has anyone had any concerns over this?

Just want to make sure that precum in the mouth of one guy is a realistic concern.

Thanks everyone.

Also I tested negative about 7 weeks after last giving oral via Oraquick. Just want to make sure I'm clear and being safe.

Thanks so much everyone.

Hi Clearmind , I would never discourage a person from testing for HIV if there was a risk or if its part of a yearly sexual health checkup that all sexually active adults should be having .

Moderator Andy gave you good reliable advice , oral sex isn't a risk for HIV .
As long as you are using condoms consistently for vaginal and anal sex you will avoid HIV .

There are dozens of proteins and enzymes in your saliva that damage HIV rendering it unable to infect , so you can relax and move on from your fears of oral exposure to HIV .

You have used up your 3 free post but if you wish to purchase a subscription please remember to post all of your questions in this thread and do not start another . If you go to your profile page you can select show own post and it will take you to your thread .

Jeff thank you very much. I guess my only concern is if there were precum in the mouth of one of the guys from another guy and then he performed felatio on me, is there any risk there?

Thanks for everyone's help and input. God Bless!

You are welcome ... please know that we do this to prevent infections so if the facts were that you had a risk or was engaging in risky sex we would not hesitate to tell you . You can now move on and put this behind you .

Hello! I just tested negative using the oraquick home test. My only concern is that I drank little water before taking the test. Do I need to retest? I also had two altoids before taking the test. Thanks for any help on this!

Please only post in this one thread no matter how long between visits or the subject matter . You can find this thread by going to your profile and selecting show own post and it will take you here .

You never had a risk to test for but to answer your question ... it would not matter about the water .

Thank you! Their website says that water or food (or a mint in this instance) within 30 minutes means a retest should be done. Your answer is reassuring but are you certain a drink of water right before swabbing wouldn't affect the test in any way? Thank you for your time!

It wouldn't affect your result and of course I wouldn't expect anything but a negative result beause you never had a real risk to begin with.

Stop worrying unnecesarily and get on with your life.

Thank you so much! May I ask if you know why they say that, other than to make me completely nervous? Have you ever seen such a thing make a difference? You guys are really great, thank you for all you do!

You are asking us to pretend you had a risk to be worried over and we will not do that . You can trust the test you took and I think if you want to know why they said what they did ask them … we can’t comment on what someone else said . Best of luck !

Hello everyone. I recently received a blowjob and at the end noticed there was a nosebleed. Some blood dropped on me. The person claims to be on prep but I'm still paranoid. It's been a couple of days but just wondering if this situation qualifies for pep or is it still considered non risk. Like many memebers on the board I'm very anxious about this so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you! May I ask why? I'm only asking because the sight of blood makes me so paranoid about it. How is it still no risk?

Hi

Having a nose bleed and dripping on you means it's been outside the human body and HIV is fragile meaning it does not remain infectious as its been exposed outside the body.

Also read back the thread.

Really thank you Jim. I will try to calm down. I just wanted to be sure because if I was at risk I'm still in the pep window and wanted to be as cautious as possible. Thanks for being a calming resource.

Hi

Look all I can tell you is nothing you posted here was a risk for HIV infection.
Now I will be honest looking back at your thread you seem to have waves of irrational fear and over the top concerns that you stress and worry about for no reason.

That is unhealthy and you really should consider face to face support if you continue to have such angst.

I wish you well and can only say that you should continue to practice safer sex and test at least yearly as you should for STI including but not limited to HIV.

I understand. And I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. To a non expert and even most GP's without constant experience in the field panic at the sight of blood isn't irrational. I just wanted clarity as to why it's not. The situation seemed to be different enough to warrant coming here for advice. Again thank you!
