recent blood test results accurate?
« on: November 09, 2012, 05:10:35 pm »
i have been a bit bummed out this week after my latest blood work results.
my liver enzymes spiked dramatically, my red blood count is above the norm, and my testosterone plummeted to practically nothing (after recently INCREASING my dose of androgel to 10 grms.).
i was too frazzled to write down the specific numbers but this is the first time any of these results looked like this.
also a first for the doc to want to see me again in one month instead of 3.
makes me feel nervous. :(

doc had me get my blood drawn again that day and again 2 weeks from now.
with the exception of first finding out i was + 30 years ago (without a "real" test available), this is the worst news i've had to deal with.
doc isn't really sure of what is going on.

went to my psychiatrist today and she wondered if the blood was hanging around too long before testing.

any ideas??

I'm surprised through all the years you've not had this happen at least a couple of times.  I've had it both ways (no pun intended), where the results were too good and other times when it looked horrid.

Easier said than done, but relax.  If you stress through it now and the worst case happens, then you've endured it twice.  And if it comes back OK, you stressed needlessly.  Ultimately, it is what is and you might have to once again put on your boxing gloves and fight.

My ever ending advice, pour a glass of wine and vow to deal with whatever comes your way. ;)

Take care and wishing you the best.
