Genital Warts Question
« on: April 09, 2009, 01:27:16 am »
I have always wondered about this   If you have aids, can that cause genital warts even though you didn't have sex w/ someone infected w/ genital warts?   The progression into Aids, can weaken the immune system & i've heard that the HVP virus is dormant in everybody, until it is weakened then it can show up.    Is this true?  Does anybody know?   Thanks!

Hi there,

First of all, everyone does not have HPV. There are many strains of HPV and not everyone that is infected will show symptoms. To get HPV associated genital warts, you have to have had sexual contact with an infected person.
